Zephyrs POV
I met Steel at her hotel room. "So tell me more about what happened with you" she asks. "Ok um. In college, I was a slut. I went to bars and clubs and I partied till I couldn't see straight. I also tended to fuck whoever wanted some. There was only one night where I actually initiated with the guy first. I bought him shots and then we went back to my apartment. He got me pregnant and of course I was furious. So after I had the kid, I made him take our son and leave. Mom disowned me, but every month she would come to my apartment to slut shame me and make sure I was alive. I stopped drinking and sleeping around after that. I put a lot of my emotions into my writing and I published a few books. Nothing to big but its out there. It pays bills. My friends all left me so I was alone for years. My son, Wyatt, wanted to meet me and Patch, his dad, set out to find me. I was so mad when he showed up again and I intend on staying here for longer than a few weeks, but they pulled me in. I love my son and I love my boyfriend. They're so much more than I thought they were when I threw them out" I say. She smiled at me. "Im glad you're ok now" she says. "Im sorry that you had it so hard at such a young age Steel. You didnt deserve it" I say. "Its ok. Im ok" she says. "So, did you ever get a girlfriend?" I ask. "Yes actually. The foster system put me through school. I met my girlfriend in highschool but we didnt date then. She was a hot shot soccer player and I barely existed. I was the leader of the yearbook staff, thats pretty much it. We didnt go to the same college since I got sent out of state. When I came back to Dark City after getting my degree, I got an internship at the place I work now. My girlfriend is like, the big boss. I got her coffee and lunch everyday. Sometimes I stayed after a little later to help her clean her office. There was one time that we were cleaning up her office and she offered me a drink. I didnt want to be rude so I said yes and then we talked and got to know each other and she asked me out. She gave me an actual job there a few years ago. It was the same year I proposed to her actually" she says. "You're engaged?" I ask. "Married actually" she says wiggling her finger. I snatched her hand to look at her ring. "Its beautiful" I say. "So is yours" she says looking at my hand. "Your story is really cute. Im glad you found someone" I say. "Im glad you found someone too" she says. I hesitated. "Do you wanna meet him?" I ask. She was taken back. "Yeah" She says.

"Babe!" I yell walking into the RV. "Yeah baby?" He calls back. "Come here! I need you to meet someone" I say. He walked outside. "Babe, this is my sister, Steel" I say. "Oh! Hi" he says. "Hi" Steel says. "I thought you said your sister was gone" Patch says. "Yeah but now shes here. Hold up, why are you here?" I ask. "Oh, some kid in your town made a movie and Im helping him get it out into the business" she says. "Oh! Tylers movie? Damn" I say. "Im Patch" he says. "Steel" she says. A cop car pulled up and Wyatt got out. He walked up to us. "Hey Wyatt, meet your aunt" I say. "My what?" He says confused. "Your aunt. My sister" I say. "I thought you didnt have siblings" he says. "Well I have her. Say hi" I say. "Hi" he says waving at her. "Hi, Im Steel" she says. "Im Wyatt. I forgot my logs. I just have to grab them real quick" he says going inside. "I have to get back to work" Patch says going inside. "Ok" I say watching him go. "You really love him huh?" She says. "Yeah" I say turning back to Steel. "I know she doesnt care about me but hows mom?" She asks. "Shes fine. Shes doing great, pretending she doesnt have children and never had a husband" I say. She laughed. "Steel? Will you come to my wedding?" I ask. "Of course. When is it?" She asks. "We dont know yet but I really want you to be there" I say. "I wouldn't miss it for the world. Can I bring my wife?" She asks. "Yes of course. Do you have any kids?" I ask. "No. We want kids but... it hasnt been uh... working" she says scratching her neck. "Miscarriages?" I ask. She looked down. "Im sorry Steel" I say. "Its fine. I guess Im not fertile enough" she says looking to the side. "Hey, youll be ok" I say hugging her. "Thanks" she says. Her watch beeped. "I gotta go meet with Tyler and Aiden. Ill talk to you later" she says. "Yeah, ok. Bye Steel" I say. "Bye Zephyr" she says. I cant believe shes really back. I missed her so much and now here she is. Ive never felt better to see someone from my family. Well... from my maiden family at least. "Honey!" I say going inside. "Yeah?" He asks. I walked into our room and wrapped my arms around him from behind. He's sitting at his desk. "Im so happy right now" I say. "Really?" He asks. "Yeah. I have you and Wyatt and my sister. The three people Ive always cared the most for" I say. He smiled at me and kissed me. "Im glad you're happy baby" he says. "She and her wife are gonna come to the wedding" I say. "Ok, Ill add them to the list" he says. "Are you ok? You're acting weird" I say. "Im in work mode babe" he says. "Oh yeah. You're weird in work mode. Ok, Ill leave you alone. I love you" I say. "I love you too" he says.
