Bail

Jacks POV
My paycheck is really high seeing how Im one of two firefighters who received a heros medal. Thats why I have an idea, but I have to be sure before I make any decisions. I need to find Jess. I have my earbuds blasting my music right now. Im just laying in bed, staring at the ceiling. Jess is my new mother figure. That makes Bella my sister, and right now, Bella isnt happy. I know Bellas been through hell the past month but I wanna do something for her. I want to bail out her dads. I have the money to do it but Im just not sure. I mean, if Jess breaks up with my dad then it'll seem weird that I bailed them out right? I got up and started heading outside. I closed the door to the trailer and jumped seeing Jess. I took out one of my earbuds. "How long have you been there?" I ask. "A while. Your dad told me to wait for him" she says. "I was actually about to come find you" I say taking out my other earbud. "Whats up?" She asked. I hesitated. "Do you love my dad?" I ask. She looked shocked. "I... uh..." She stutters. "I want to be sure that youll stay with him before I do what Im about to do" I say. "What are you gonna do?" She asks. "Im gonna bail your boyfriends out of jail" I say. "What?!" She says. "Im doing it for Bella. She deserves to have all of her parents at her graduation. With that being only a few weeks away, I figured I should do it soon" I say. "Thats sweet of you, but what does that have to do with me and your dad?" She asks. "If you stay with him, that makes you my mother. That also makes Bella my sister" I say. She stared at me for a moment. "You... you see me as your mother?" She asks. "Im starting too" I say. She smiled. "Im not leaving your dad. If we were to break up, itd be him leaving me because Im not going anywhere" She says. I smiled. "Thanks Jess. Ill see you later" I say walking away.

Jess's POV
I went inside now that the door was open. "Hey Jess. Sorry that took so long" Bruce says. I hugged him. "Woah, are you ok?" He asks. He hugged me back gently. "Jack just said he's seeing me as his mother" I say. The smile on my face is way too big. Bruce laughed. "I told you he would." He says. "That made my day" I say. "I can tell" he says. He leaned down and kissed me. "Are you ready for lunch?" He asks. "Was that not what you just gave me?" I ask. He chuckled. "That was an appetizer. Come on, lets get some food" he says dragging me out the door.

Im at the house. Im honestly debating buying more fish. Bella told me she forgot about them. They do look very small but Im not sure if they're just small fish or if they're starving. I have been feeding them so they should be fine. Theres a knock at the door. If it was Bella, she would have just come in so I wonder who that is. I walked to the door and looked through the peep hole. My jaw dropped. Jack actually did it. I opened the door, jaw still hanging down. We stared at each other for a moment. "Hey Jess" Ash says quietly. I hugged him. I held out one arm and put it around Alec as he joined. "Wheres Jack?" I ask. "He had to go to work" Alec says. "Come on. You guys need a hair cut" I say pulling them inside.

Ash shaved whatever had grown on his face. Alec seemed fine with his scruff though. Right now, Harley is restoring their normal hair styles. Im glad I made friends with her. "Thanks Harley" I say as she leaves. "Yep" she says. The boys walked to me. "There you are. No more overgrown weird hair" I say. They smiled. "So... what do we do now?" Alec asks. "Now, we hide you. We want it to be a surprise for Bella at her graduation" I say. "How do we come back from this? Life will never be normal again." Ash says. "You cant just act like everythings normal. You have to grow from your mistakes. Ill be here to help you and Im sure Bella will help you too" I say. "You're staying in town?" Alec asks. "Well... my new boyfriend lives here so" I say. They stared at me blankly. "Is that why Jack bailed us out?" Alec asks. I nod. "Im dating his dad. He did it for Bella since shes kinda his sister now. I was just happy that he sees me as his mom" I say. "Thats really cool Jess. Im happy for you" Ash says. "Thank you. By the way, Bella killed your fish" I say. "What?" He says confused. "In your office. You now have three fish. Not five" I say. "I guess thats payback. We killed her spirit. She killed our fish" Ash says. "No, she killed your fish. I hate that stupid tank" Alec says. Ash rolled his eyes. "Its getting late. You want to order a pizza? You can tell me all your depressing prison stories" I say. They laughed. "Sure" Alec says.
