Family prt. 2

Wyatts POV
"So Im guessing you and your dad are ok?" Luna asks. "Yeah. Im not mad at him. Im just happy he came back" I say. She smiled at me. "Have you written your mom yet?" I ask. She shook her head. "Im terrified Wyatt" she says. "You have nothing to be scared of. Just talk to her" I say. "I will. I promise" she says.

I walked out to use the bathroom. Zephyr and my dad are talking on the couch. They're smiling and laughing and its weird. I definitely missed something.

Patchs POV
"Hes suspicious" I say when he goes in the bathroom. "I would be too if my parents suddenly went from hating each other to being fine" Zephyr says. "I know that Wyatt showed you the town already, but theres somewhere I want to take you" i say. "Ok" she smiles. Wyatt walked back out. "Am I missing something?" He asks. "We'll talk tomorrow. Go see your girl" I say. He scratched the back of his neck confused and walked into his room. "Dont you have to go back to work soon?" Zephyr asked. "Yes. Tomorrow's technically my last day off" I say. "We better make the most of it then" she says.

"Dad? Do you wanna talk before I go to school?" Wyatt asks. "Yeah, come here" I say. Zephyr stood next to me. I looked at her. "Ive decided to stay here" she says. "Like... permanently?" Wyatt asks. "Yeah" she says. He smiled. We remained silent. "Was there something else?" He asks. We looked at each other. "Your mom and I- uh" I stuttered. Ive never been nervous around Wyatt before. "We're giving each other another chance" Zephyr completes my sentence. She put her hand on my back. I smiled at her. "Really? So... we can be like... a real family?" He asks. "If all goes well, and I dont think your dad is a total loser, then yes" Zephyr says. I looked at her offended. Wyatt laughed. "Ill see you later. Ill be home late because we have to interrogate the kingsmen today" he says leaving. "Ok, have a good day" I say. He left and I sipped my coffee. "A total loser huh?" I ask. "I thought you were hot when we were kids. Im not sure if I would have thought that if I saw what Im seeing now" she says. "Good to know" I say sipping my coffee again. "Hey, I like the way you look. You are the exact definition of a hot dad" she says. I rolled my eyes. "Come on" I say.

We walked around town. "Where are we going?" She asks. "You're an author right? So i suppose you enjoy reading" I say. "Yeah of course" she says. "Good. Then youll enjoy my office" I say. "Your office?" She asks. We walked into the towns bookstore. "Woah" she says looking around. "I work from home most of the time, but my office is here" I say. "Patch?" I hear. I looked over. "Good morning Cody" I say. Cody is one of the newlyweds. He runs the actual bookstore when Im away. "Morning" he smiles. We went back to my office. "I never thought Id find heaven in a bookstore" she says. "You like it?" I ask. "Yeah" she says. "Well, if you're gonna be staying here then I wouldn't mind making you my assistant manager. Plus, Im sure the mayor would love to have an author in town. It brings in more money for him" I say. "That would be amazing" she says. I stared at her for a moment. "Do you wanna get brunch?" I ask. She looked at her watch. "Damn, time flies. Yeah, sure" she says. I smiled and we left.

Wyatts POV
"Why did you kidnap Aries and Sapphire?" I ask. "I was bored" Travis says. "You're really gonna make it this easy?" I ask. He shrugged. "Much to your dismay, we arent a team. The others wont come for me. I did it, so lock me up. I dont care. I have nothing to live for anymore" he says. I squinted at him and left the room. "Wyatt?" Kari asks. "Yeah?" I say. "I know I have no proof or anything, but I know he's telling the truth" she says. I smiled at her. "You make a good detective Kari. I wouldn't be surprised if you joined me one day" I say. She smiled. "Ill think about it" she says.

"So your mom is staying? And shes getting with your dad?" Spotter asks. I nod. "Seems like it" I say. "Yes! I finally get an aunt." He says. I laughed. "Thats only if my dad doesnt screw up" I say. "Im sure she'll like him. Your dad is really cool" he says. "You barely spend time with him" i say. "But the little time I have, was amazing. He's a great cook, he's funny, and he's dedicated to his work. Who wouldn't want that in a guy?" He asks. "I dont know, can Jack cook?" I ask. He glared at me. "Shut. Up." He snarls. "Put the claws away dude. Ill see you later. I have a date" I say. "Have fun" he says. "I will" i say.

Alecs POV
They're all arguing while Ash and I watch. "How could you let them escape!" Diane yells. "Maybe if you two werent busy fucking, I could have held them off! They knocked me out, what do you want!?" Aiden says. "Is that what happened? Or is it that you felt bad for your cousin so you let them go?" Stephan asks. "You really think I would be that stupid? Dont forget who runs this joint. Im your leader and I can expose you whenever I want" Aiden says. Stephan stood down and brought Diane with him. "Careful Aiden. Daddys not here to protect you anymore" Diane says. They exchanged an angry look while Stephan and Diane walked away. Aiden walked to us. "You can clearly see there are two sides here. Who do you stand with?" He asks. Ash and I look at each other. We know that Aiden wont, by any circumstances, try to hurt Bella. Thing is, if we go with him, Stephan and Diane are sure too. We looked back at him and stood up straight. "We'll be back, Boss" I say. He nods and we leave. Now we have to protect Bella more than ever.

"Bella, we're home!" I yelled. We heard a loud thud and she ran out of her room. Her clothes are rugged, her hair is messed up, and her shirt is inside out. "Hi" she breathes quickly. "Spade" we say. He walked out. He looks just as discombobulated. He has scratch marks on his neck. "I didnt think youd be home this early" Bella says. "Neither did we" Ash says. "Should I go?" Spade asks. "No, by all means, finish what you were doing. It always sucks not getting to finish" Ash says with a smirk. "Ew, dad!" Bella says. We laughed. "Go on" I say. They ran back into her room. "He's good to her" I say. "Yeah, but he cant protect her from what we've gotten into" I say. "We have to tell her. We cant keep lying" Ash says. "She'll hate us if we do" I say. "Its the right thing to do" he says. "Is it really worth losing her?" I ask. "Even if we lose her, its worth it to protect her" he says. I sighed. "I love you Ash" I say. "I love you too" he says. He gave me a peck and walked into the bedroom. We're gonna lose her. Its inevitable, but he's right. Its the right thing to do.
