Movie Night prt. 2

Tylers POV
The next scene shows Ryker landing in the forest and putting Amity down. "Are you ok?" He asks. "Im fine. Dont worry about me. We need to get out of here" Amity says, clearly in pain. "We'll be fine. I need to wrap your wound before it gets worse. Plus you were right, my wings are tired out" Ryker says. He searched around and ripped a long vine off a tree. He wrapped it around Amitys wing and tied it. "We cant stay here. Theyll find us" Amity says. "Stop fighting me. Just sit and rest" Ryker says. Amity groaned and leaned back against the tree. She looked up and the angle looked up to show the sky turn back to day. When it looked back down, Ryker and Amity were walking through the woods. "This thing doesnt look all that powerful" Ryker says looking at the staff. "Magical things never do" Amity says. A short clip of feet running played. Amity stopped. "What? Whats wrong?" Ryker asks. The clip played again. "Shh" Amity says holding out her hand. She turned her head to the side. It was quiet until a stick broke and Amity looked back at Ryker. "Look out!" She says pouncing on him. She tackled him to the ground as Mavac jumped out and went right past them. Ryker and Amity stood back up and Mavac pounced at Ryker again. They started fighting each other for the staff and Mavac got it. Amity ran after him and pulled him into her. She pulled his back against her chest and put a knife to his throat. He couldn't move. "Drop it" she says. Mavac hesitated but dropped it and Ryker grabbed it. Mavac spun himself out of Amitys grasp and the three started circling. "Why did you take our ember" Mavac said. "Our town is in danger. We need its magic to heal them" Ryker says. "We need its magic too. It protects us from the poison" Mavac said. "What poison?" Amity says. "Our town is on top of a poison grove. Any attempt we've made to move was stopped by you" Mavac says. "Just let us cast the spell to save our people and you can have it back" Ryker says. "Why should I believe you?" Mavac asks. "Come with us. Ill hand it to you myself" Ryker says. Amity pulled Ryker into her. "You're gonna let him follow us?" She whispers. "Trust me" he whispered back. "Ok. Ill go with you" Mavac says. Ryker held out his hand. Mavac hesitated but shook it. They glared at each other for a moment before letting go. "Lets go. Just get this over with" Mavac says. Mavac walked ahead of them. Amity walked close to Ryker. "You cant give it back to him." Amity says. "He wont get it back. Once the spell is complete, the ember will be destroyed. When we come home to everyone healed, the Rayman wont be a threat anymore" Ryker says. Amity nodded.

The group stopped for the night. Amity slept in Rykers lap. "What illness has overcome your people?" Mavac asked. "They're calling it the dragon disease. Dragons have invaded our forest and they release pheromones that are deadly to us" Ryker says. Mavac shifted and breathed out. "Im Mavac. Leader of the dragon guard" he says. "Ryker. Im a historian" he says. "Then what are you doing here?" Mavac asks. "Saving my people. Im not a coward" Ryker says. "And her?" Mavac asks. "Amity is leader of our defense guard, and my girlfriend" Ryker says. Mavac laughed. "Your girlfriend? Then I guess we're even on one note. You crashed my wedding. I slashed her wing" Mavac says. "I apologize. I had no intention of crashing your wedding" Ryker says. "Whatever" Mavac says. There was a short silence. "Is she worth it? Risking your life right now?" Ryker asks. Mavac looked at him. "She worth more than my life can give. Is she worth it to you?" Mavac asks. Ryker looked down at Amity. "She is" Ryker says.

It changed to day again. The three continued their journey. Amity started coughing. Mavac raised his eyebrow at her. She starting to slow down. Mavac stopped and turned back to look at Amity. "What happened?" Ryker asks. He went to Amity, worried. Amity gripped the sides of his arms. "I cant..." she drifted off. "Cant what?" Ryker asks. Mavac approached them. "She is ill. The slash in her wing must have caused your so called 'dragon disease" Mavac said. Ryker looked at Amity concerned. "Can you make it back to the forest?" Ryker asks. "Im not leaving you with him" Amity says. Mavac rolled his eyes. "If she stays then she'll put you in danger as well" Mavac says. Ryker looked at Mavac and then back at Amity. "Ill be fine. Go home. Ill be back soon" Ryker says. Amity shifted the wrap off of her wing. Its healed but part of it turned green. She flapped it and winced in pain. "Can you make it back?" Ryker asks. "Ill make it. Just make sure that you get there soon" Amity says. Ryker nods and Amity struggles flys off. Mavac and Ryker looked at each other and kept walking.

The sky dimmed. "We're close" Ryker says. "Then this is where I stop you" Mavac says. "What?" Ryker asks. "You think I dont know the spell you're talking about? You think I dont know the consequence? If you do this the ember will be destroyed. You cant go through with this Ryker" Mavac says. "Why not? Gets rid of two of my issues. The disease and you Rayman" Ryker says. "Wow. You are that cold hearted? You do know that healing the disease doesnt stop it. It will return and without that ember, you will not be able to heal your people again. We will all die if you do this" Mavac says. "You cant stop me Mavac. Im doing this and whatever happens afterwards, we'll be ready for." Ryker says. Ryker flew up. "Goodbye Mavac. You're a good man. Go spend your last days with your bride" Ryker says flying away. "Ryker! Stop! You're making a mistake!" Mavac yelled as he flew away.

Ryker flew up to a tall mountain and breathed out as he looked up it. He started the fly upwards and the screen cut back to Mavac. He's back home. "I failed you" Mavac says. "You havent failed. Its alright" Raine says. "He has no mercy Raine. He will kill his own people out of his ignorance" Mavac says. "What?" She asked. "His people cannot be around the dragon pheromones. Their wings get infected" Mavac says. "Thats curable" Raine says. "What?" Mavac says. "Im a doctor love, I know things. Theres a cure to the dragon disease. They just have to rub snake oil on their wings" Raine says. Mavacs eyes widened. "You are my savior. I have to find Ryker" Mavac says running out. He jumped on his dragon and flew as fast as possible to the peak. The screen went back to Ryker. He had casted the spell. It made a giant beam start from the peak of the mountain and go up into the sky. He now had to place the ember in the beam. "Ryker!" Mavac yelled. Ryker stopped and looked over. He saw the dragon flying across the forest to him. "Mavac?" Ryker asks. Mavac was almost to him and Ryker put the staff in the beam. It turned green as Mavac came to him. "Pull it out Ryker! Theres another way!" Mavac says. "What do you mean?" Ryker says. "Theres a cure to your disease. We can find peace Ryker! We can all live!" Mavac says. Ryker looked back at the staff and then at Mavac. "How can I trust you?" Ryker asks. "You cant, but I ask that you try. I have no reason for you to trust me now but I hope that you can find it in your heart to spare my kind and save yours... the proper way" Mavac said. Ryker looked back at the staff. "If he's lying then please forgive me Amity" Ryker says. He pulled the staff out of the beam, breaking the spell. It sent out a wave that shot them back. Mavac grabbed Ryker and flew them to safety.

They arrived at the Spargoles forest and a montage of the healing process started. Putting snake oil on their wings healed them immediately and they were able to fly again. The montage ended and Mavac walked to Amity and Ryker. "I should go. I wish you the best" Mavac says. "Mavac wait" Ryker says. He stopped and turned to him. "We had an idea" Ryker says. Mavac raised an eyebrow.

The speaker that Duke plays stood up again. "We are gathered here today, in equality, to unite these two souls. Mavac and Raine. You have fought endlessly for your love and now you have found it. So without further a do, Mavac, do you take Raine to be your lovely wedded wife?" He asks. "I do" Mavac says. "And do you Raine, take Mavac to be your lovely wedded husband?" The speaker asked. "I do" she says. "I am proud to announce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride" the speaker says. Mavac and Raine kissed and the angle zoomed out show the crowd cheering. The crowd both having Spargoles and Rayman living together in the forest.

The credits rolled up on the screen and the lights came back on. I looked at Duke. "We did good" Duke says. "Yeah we did" I say fist bumping him. I realized Im still holding Aidens hand. I looked at him. "You made an amazing movie" he says. "Thank you" I say. "Come on" he says standing up and dragging me out with the others. "You ready for the press?" Aiden asks. "What press?" I ask. "Your friends" he says. "Oh no" I say. They're gonna flock me.

We walked outside and yep, I was flocked. My brother pulled me aside. "Hey" he says. "Hi" I say. His arm is healed, so thats nice to see. I guess he got the cast off today and I didnt notice. "I wanted to say sorry for being a dick. Your movie was really good" he says. "Thank you and its ok" I say. "Im sorry too bro" Bailey says. "Its fine. Just dont doubt me next time" i say. They smiled and hugged me. I pulled back. "I gotta join my crew" I say running back to Aiden. "Hey" I say. "Hey" he says. "Why did you say that earlier?" I ask. "Because you do look hot" he says. I smiled. "So do you" I say. "You wanna come home with me? Watch a different movie?" He asks. "Id like that" I say. He smiled at me and took my hand.
