Date Night

Ashs POV
"What are we gonna do? No ones gonna hire us" Alec says. "Maybe Jess can help. Do you know where she is?" I ask. "Probably at her boyfriends shop. Come on" Alec says.

We pulled up to the shop and walked in. "Bruce?" I called out for him. "Yeah?" He yelled back. He walked up to us. "Oh, hey guys" he says. "Hey. Is jess here?" Alec asks. "No. Shes at work" Bruce says. I looked at Alec. "We could work for Jess" I say excitedly. "Uh... no. Im not up for that" Alec says. "You two looking for work?" Bruce asks. We nodded. "Work for me. I need some help here and you seem good with your hands" He says. "See, thats something worth doing" Alec says. "Agree to disagree. Im gonna go find Jess" I say. Alec kissed my cheek. "Bye babe" he says. "Bye" I say.

"Jess?" I ask. She walked out into the lobby. "Oh hey" she says. "Hi, can I work for you?" I ask. "Um. Sure. You can work the desk. Im having trouble doing everything at once" she says. "Great. Thanks" I say. "How have you and Alec been since getting out?" She asks. "We're getting better everyday" I say. "I meant, relationship wise. You dont seem as in love as you were the last time I saw you" she says. "What?! No, we're fine" I say. "If you say so" she shrugs. I hesitated. "You think we're not?" I ask. "Its not my place to judge. I just think that maybe you guys need to get the romance back. Go on a date or something. Just to keep your love alive" she says. I smiled. "Thanks Jess" I say.

"Hey honey!" I say excitedly. He smiled at me. "Whats up with you? You look happy" he says. "Guess what tonight is" I say. "What?" He asks with a laugh. "Date night! I have something planned for you" I say. "Babe, if we go somewhere, we're gonna get a lot of ugly looks" he says. "Yes, which is why we'll be alone" I say. "Oh? And where are we going?" He asks. "Youll see. Now go put on something a little nice and lets go" I say.

"A picnic? You're so cute" he says. We sat down in the grass. We're a little ways out of town, in a feild surrounded by a few trees. "Do you not remember this place?" I ask. "No" he says confused. I frowned. He looked around for a moment and then looked back at me. "This is where I proposed to you" he says. I smiled and nodded. He took my hand in his. "You're so adorable. We havent been here in years" he says. "I know. The kingsmen kept us from really being a couple after we joined. I missed you. Spending time with you. Skipping work just to lay in bed with you. Now, we can get that back" I say. He smiled at me and kissed me. "Im looking forward to that, and Ive missed you too" he says. We kissed again and it started getting heated. I was surprised when he pulled away. "Whats wrong?" I ask. He looked me dead in the eyes. "I want another kid" he says. I smiled and bit my lip. "Ok" I say. He kissed me again and pushed me back into the grass. I wrapped my arms around his neck as we gently made out in the feild. "I love you" i whispered. "I love you too" he whispered back.

Bruces POV
"Jess honey? I have something for you" I say. I just got home. Jess and I are now living together. I held my hands behind my back and walked up to her in the kitchen. "What is it baby?" She asks. I handed her flowers from behind my back. She smiled and took them. "Thank you. They're beautiful" she says. "Not as beautiful as you" I say. She blushed. I walked up close to her and kissed her. "Whats up with you today? Such a gentleman" she says putting her hand on my shoulder. I held her waist. "Im just so happy to be with you. You're amazing" I say. She got more red. She stared at me for a moment. "I... I love you" she says. I smiled. "I love you too" I say. We kissed. "Do we have something to put this in?" She asks pulling away. "Ill get you something" I say. I walked to the cabinet and pulled out a vase. "You have a vase just laying around?" She asks. "Yeah, Farren always kept the vases whenever the boys got her flowers" I say. I walked to her and handed her the vase. She stared at me confused. "What?" I ask. "You called her Farren. You've always called her your wife" she says. I smiled lightly. I took the flowers from her and put them in the vase. I took her hand and kissed it. "Its not fair to you, for me to keep referring to her as that now that shes gone" I say. She smiled. "Baby you dont have to do that" she says. "But I do. You're my girlfriend Jess, and I love you. Its time for me to make new memories with you instead of mourning my old ones" I say. "You're gonna make me cry" she says looking down. I lifted her head up by her chin and kissed her. She wrapped her arms around my neck. My hands hands fell back to her waist. "Seriously dad?" I hear. Jess and I laughed a little and looked over. "Why are you still here Jack? Dont you have work?" I ask. "Yeah. I slept in. Having an actual house means a bigger bed and I for one am enjoying it" Jack says. I laughed. "Go to work. Ill see you later" I say. "Bye dad. Bye mom" he says leaving. Jess looked at me with her jaw on the floor. "He... called me mom" she says shocked. I smiled. "You ok?" I ask. "I.. I dont know" she says with a smile. I laughed. "Come on, lets get brunch" I say. "Ok" she says.

"Do you wanna stay in tonight? Have a date night on the couch?" I ask. "Sure. Sounds fun. Netflix and chill is always fun" she says. I smirked. "I didnt take you for that kind of girl" I say. She rolled her eyes. "It doesnt always have to be like that" she says. I shrugged. "Say whatever you want. Im holding you to that" I say. "Of course you are" she says. I laughed. "Why dont you tell the boys to bring their partners over too? That way its guaranteed that it wont happen" she says. "Wow, you dont wanna sleep with me that bad" I say. "What?! Thats not what I meant" she says. I laughed again. "Its fine babe" I say. She groaned. "You're exhausting" she says with a smile.

We're on the couch and I have my arm around Jess. Duke is here but Jasmine was busy tonight. Jack and Spotter are sitting together. Jess got up to use the bathroom. Spotter left the room to take a call. I looked at my boys. "Hey boys? What would you say to another sibling?" I ask. They looked at me shocked. "We already got one" Jack says. "You know thats not what I meant" I say. "I wouldn't mind" Duke shrugs. "Yeah its fine with me" Jack says. "You think Jess will want too?" Duke asks. "I wont know until I ask" I say. "Im glad you're happy dad" Duke says. "Im glad you guys are happy too" I say. "Dad? Im sorry I was rude when we first moved here. Thank you for moving us here" Jack says. "Its ok Jack, and you're welcome." I say. Spotter and Jess came back in and sat down. Jess rested her head on my shoulder. I looked down at her and smiled. Im glad everyones happy now. This was one hell of a year.
