Pulling herself from train of thoughts pallavi looked at sleeping raghav,she moved next to him,wiped the sweat off his face and increased the temperature of the AC so that he could sleep comfortably
Pallavi was sure she would get over him,when he left the country two years ago, she put his thought out of her mind and spend most of the time working to provide good life for rithu,but when he came back in her life,the wall she build around her heart started to crumble,he managed to get back in her heart and made a place there again
Now she knows she doesn't have any option but look at him from far,she just wished if everything could go back to the way things were before,wiping her tears she adjusted herself on the bed as she slept in sitting position next to raghav
It was raining out side and huge storm and lightning outside woke pallavi and raghav from their sleep.it was around two in the night,raghav saw pallavi on the bed sitting next to where he was sleeping, he rubbed his eyes and sat up next to her
Pallavi asked "how is your fever" while looking at him
"After having medicine and a good nap,feeling much better" he said raking his hand through his hair
Pallavi nodded at him and took water form the desk next to bed,handed it over to him.raghav gulped water in one go and kept glass aside.
Neither of them does not know what to speak,sitting on the bed next to each other was more acquard than she expected,"I will go get more water" saying that pallavi rushed to the kitchen
Pallavi in kitchen took a deep breath and picked cold water from fridge and gulped it in a go,she could not make up her mind to go back,to stall the encounter with raghav she decided to make sandwich.
She took tomato,cucumber,butter and bread from the counter and started to chop the vegetables.
Raghav watched pallavi from kitchen entrance ,he knew she was avoiding him,pulling himself from the kitchen door jab he walked just behind her, slipped his arms around her and kept his cheek on her shoulder and said "let's get back together,give it one more shot"
On hearing raghavs word pallavis hand slipped and entire sandwich dropped down, pallavi turned around glared at raghav and squatted down to pick sandwich and scattered tomatoes from the floor,she collected everything and throwed it to the dustbin next to kitchen counter and got up and moved away from raghav to keep some distance from him
raghav smirked at pallavi "something caught your tongue,you wouldn't even respond to me "
"Everything joke to you right,I do not know what thrill you get at my expense,like a foolish I was making a sandwich for you" saying that she move towards door to get to herself out of the home but found it locked
Controlling her anger, she turned towards raghav and asked him "unlock the door,I am feeling sleepy and want to go home and take rest"
"First have sandwich,then we can talk about you going back" saying that he made his way to kitchen and made a new sandwich for her and himself from the chopped vegetable available on the counter,arranged it in a plate and carried to the dining hall,waiting for her to take a seat
"OK,if you do no eat, even I wouldn't eat. I am clearing it now, I am very hungry and If I fell sick again you are the sole responsible for my condition" saying that he started scrolling through the mobile
Pallavi huffed and stepped towards a dining table, pulled the chair opposite to him,settled in chair before picking the sandwich from table and started eating it,eventually even raghav had sandwich.
Once they are done,Pallavi stood up to clean the plates raghav pulled the plate from her hand and kept it on the table and asked "you haven't answered my earlier question "
"Raghav everything joke for you,you are trying to make fun of me,you are taking revenge for not letting you ride vehicle in the morning,so do not act like you are seriously looking for the answer" she said dismissing his words
He pulled her closer to him "I was never careless, when it concerns you.whatever I said earlier was not joke ,I mean it" glared at for thinking he was not serious
"It means you are ready to discuss on the past and move on " she looked at him with a hope
"No,we are keeping the past in the past and try to start a new journey from this moment onwards" He said in a determination
Pallavi pulled her hands away from him and said "why wouldn't you understand ,till we wouldn't tie up all the loose ends of the past,we wouldn't be able to move on.some or other situation in future will drag us back to past and would be back to square one"
Raghav was not looking at her and did not even respond to her,feeling tiered ,she picked wetter bottle and filled the bottle with water,waltz to raghav room to keep the bottle for the night and also it would give enough space for him to think over it
After long time,when he has not returned,she decided to go back to her home,as she made her way out of the room,raghav entered the room, and bumped into each other ,raghav caught her from falling back,steadying her he looked down at her, he looked vulnerable pallavi had not seen him like that ever,her heart shattered looking at him.she cupped his face and asked "raghav what is the matter,did something happen,you are feeling OK,do you want to sleep.we can speak about other things later.now more important is your health" she tried to lead him towards the bed,but he did not budge
When Pallavi turned back and glanced at him,he said "I desperately need you back in my life,I can not live without you"
Controlling her emotion she said "raghav we are living in a bubble, when we go back to hyderbad,this bubble would burst and reality would hit us, it wouldn't work out and it is known to you as well as me"
"Atleast I am trying to change things around us ,you are not even trying.do you no longer like me.we tried your way of solving things two years back ,look where it lead us.why can not we try my way this time around.give me another chance" he pleaded her in desperation
Pallavi knew raghav in and out,she knew if they wouldn't work on past ,there would not be any future for them,but he was not in a position to understand,she doesn't have enough guts to turn him down,for his satisfaction,she was ready to go through this heartbreak again.she looked up at him and said "let's try your way.try one last time"
