Louis carefully peeked his head into the bedroom, his heart almost sinking into his stomach as he saw his husband lying on the bed and breathing deeply with his mask on, "love?" he asked softly as he stepped in.
Harry picked his head up as Dezzy perked up next to him on the bed, him petting the beagle softly.
"How're you feeling?"
I forgot how horrible April is for me... he signed, feeling awful since his dog barked him awake early this morning.
The blue eyed man bit his lip as he sat on the bed and gently ran his fingers through his curls, "I can call everyone, we can reschedule."
No, no, Harry signed quickly, already looking at him pleadingly, give me a few more hours and I'll be okay, I swear.
"Harry-"
Louis please, he stopped him, it's been too long since we've all been together and this is for Declan and Rosie.
Louis wanted to protest terribly, the younger lad lying down for hours and still seemed fatigued, "we can tomorrow," he said quietly as he shook his head.
Harry's face fell, already knowing with everyone's schedules it was too last minute to change it to tomorrow, no, I'll be okay, he tried to assure him, I have Dezzy and I'll wear my backpack.
He bit his lip, knowing Harry was going to be more than stubborn about this like he always is, "fine, but we're ordering food. You're not cooking."
Deal, the curly haired lad signed quickly.
Louis offered him a small smile as he squeezed his thigh, letting his hand run up and down his leg, "with uhm... With what happened this morning I want to talk to you about something."
Sure, Harry furrowed his eyebrows before reaching for his hand, seeing Louis nervous.
"So..." he let out a deep breath, scratching the back of his neck, "I dunno if you've thought about it at all, but with what happened with Rosie and your health I've been thinking about something."
Harry nodded, wanting him to continue, having a feeling he knew what he was going to say.
"I wanna know what you think about uhm... Me getting a vasectomy," Louis tried to push his anxiety down, but seeing his husband's face he knew his slight worries weren't needed.
I've thought about it too, he signed, especially after how he's been feeling lately, and this morning was a cruel reminder as well, in the grand scheme of things I'm okay with it, it's time. But... Harry looked at his hands for a moment before letting out a small breath, I'm sad putting this chapter behind us.
"I get it love, I feel the same," Louis looked at him softly, "but plenty of grandbabies in the future," he offered him a small smile.
At least that got Harry grinning again, them treating their two grandkids like their own kids and he knew they would do that for all of their future ones, I know we agreed on no more babies after Charlie, but the possibility was always there... But now it's official, no more.
Louis' eyebrows shot up, "I mean did you want more? We have six kids H," he laughed, people already thinking they were crazy.
No, Harry rolled his eyes as he chuckled under his mask, but you know me, I wouldn't have been against it. Well... Before I got sick.
His eyes focused on the younger lad, seeing him sinking for a moment. Louis knew when Harry got sick time seemed to stop. They weren't sure how long Harry needed his oxygen therapy, how long he would be fatigued, or how much harder work would be.
