"Hey," Rosie said happily as she answered the door.

"Hey you," Declan smiled back, taking a step in and not wasting a second before wrapping his arms around her and connecting their lips.

The green eyed girl was a bit surprised at his eagerness, but that didn't stop her own grin from coming over her, "what's gotten into you?" she laughed as she pulled away.

"I have news, good news," Declan said, trying not to bounce where he was.

Rosie raised her eyebrows, feeling herself already grow a little excited at seeing how happy he was, "well I don't want to be kept in suspense so come on," she tugged him inside and to the couch.

Declan had a skip in his step as they walked and almost threw himself onto the couch and dragged her down with him.

"There's no way this is about school, you always do well and don't get this excited," Rosie teased him.

"Not about school," Declan shook his head as he smiled softly at her, "I got a job."

"Oh," Rosie didn't expect that, "you didn't tell me you were looking for an internship or-"

"No, no, it has nothing to do with engineering, as much as I would love to get paid for that right now," Declan chuckled as he scratched the back of his neck, "it's just a dishwashing job."

"Well that's great Dec," Rosie smiled and rubbed his back, his cheeks tinting pink, "what did you want the job for though, and like what time is it?" she asked, trying not to seem nervous about seeing him less.

Declan opened his mouth, his face only going redder as he couldn't meet her eyes, "it's early in the morning, but uhm, I-..." he stuttered over himself, glancing at her quickly, "I want to save money up to take you out," Declan said quietly, making her still, "you know these past two weeks have just been- well just amazing and I wanted to talk to you about maybe taking this to the next step."

There were so many things he just said that had Rosie's head spinning, and the way he was looking at her so sweetly, so nervously had her heart racing. She knew her mouth was open but words refused to come out as she kept her eyes on him to see if he was serious.

The past two weeks have been everything she didn't know she could ever want. Cuddle sessions, stolen kisses and study nights where the blue eyed lad attempted to cook, and it was better than she expected.

Rosie quickly found she didn't know how she used to spend her nights without him. His company was more than comforting while they both studied, but Rosie absolutely loved watching tv and movies with him above anything else. She could spend forever in his arms and feeling his lips press into her hair, or hear his laugh that more often than not echoed through the flat. Rosie wanted more of these moments, and hearing he did too, and got a job on top of it to take her out had the green eyed girl a bit stuck for words.

"You don't want to, I get it," Declan shook his head, "I-"

Rosie couldn't help herself as she wrapped her arms around his neck and tugged him down until their lips met. And it was immediate she was smiling and it growing as the seconds passed when she felt him grinning as well.

"Oh I hope that means yes," Declan said through an airy laugh once she pulled away.

"Yes, definitely yes," Rosie said bashfully, making him light up, "I can't believe you got a job, where is it?"

"That really popular restaurant about 15 minutes away, H's Bakery and Cafe," Declan said, snaking his arms around her and almost pulling her onto his lap, "the boss seems super nice, plus everyone there was talking about how he has a famous husband or something."
