"C'mon boys, just a few more," Louis said through a deep breath before reaching into the trunk and pulling out another case of beer.
"Dad this is insane," Rory said, the entire SUV packed with food and drinks for the night.
Louis shifted the box in his hands, feeling like his arms were ready to fall off from loading the car, and now this, "we have almost 40 people coming over, it's necessary for a good time."
Plus more than half the people can now drink so the alcohol bill definitely went up.
"Babe you got everything I needed?" Harry asked nervously as he started peering into bags.
"Everythings accounted for," Louis let out a grunt as he put the case down in the foyer.
That was music to the curly haired lad's ears, but he did notice his husband must have bought half the liquor store.
Harry had Cameron help him unpack everything in the kitchen, and the more covered his counters became the more anxious he got. Stress like this was never good for his health but there was a lot to get done before everyone shows up. Harry already called his three oldest for reinforcement and that was enough to calm him the slightest bit down.
"Are you gonna need help cooking?"
Harry's gaze snapped to Cameron, unable to hide he was a little surprised, "do you want to help?"
The 14 year old bit his lip, "I just don't want you to have to use your emergency pack or anything," he said quietly, seeing just how worked up his pop was.
"Oh, no, don't worry about that buddy," Harry offered him a small smile, "don't forget I have Dezzy, she'll know before I do."
"Well I wanna help," Cameron shrugged, hoping if he lent a hand his pop would relax a little.
"Thanks mate," Harry kissed his head before he started organizing groceries and figuring out where he wanted to start with cooking.
Rory and Louis brought all the groceries to the kitchen and lugged the cases of alcohol into the garage cooler. And of course as soon as they were done with that task Harry had another one for them and told them to get Charlie so she could start her own chores.
It was quiet for a few minutes in the kitchen as Cameron put food away and Harry started cooking. The curly haired lad couldn't help but glance at his son every so often though.
He wished when Baxter and Nora came over last he and Louis could talk to them, but never got a moment alone. Tonight though Harry really wanted to have a sit down and ask for advice on how they could help Cameron.
"So buddy how have you been sleeping?" he asked softly as he pulled out a few pans.
"Better," Cameron said through a small breath, "that medicine definitely makes me tired so that's helping... But I dunno I don't think it's fully kicked in."
The green eyed lad hated that there could still be another 2 weeks before it takes effect, "well hopefully you'll have fun with the boys tonight. You and Declan make a good Fifa team."
"Still lost to Cody and Ryan though," Cameron said through a small laugh, "or more Ryan, not sure how much Cody helped."
Harry hummed, Ryan playing like no one he's ever seen, "try to snag Ryan tonight then, get him on your team."
Cameron bit his lip, his back to his father as he put a bag of crisps in the pantry, "he probably won't want to play with me."
"Why wouldn't he?" Harry asked with furrowed eyebrows, "don't be nervous just cause he's older buddy."
