A/N Alright second to last chapter !

I had a reader request what I picture Emerson to look like. They are based off a friend of mine, Matt, who I met while seeing &Juliet on broadway. They are an understudy for the character May and performs about three times a week. I've seen the show maybe six times and last time I saw them I asked for them to keep their show make up on. They're pronouns are they/them, and play a nonbinary character in the show. I'll post below the main song they sing. If you are trans, I highly suggest listening X

"Bug!"

Rosie perked her head up at the yell, a smile quickly coming over her hearing her boyfriend home, "living room!"

She always grew giddy as soon as he walked through the door, her favorite part of the day coming up when they could relax with one another. And from the slight rustling Rosie heard she thought maybe Declan brought home some snacks for a movie night since it was Friday.

But as soon as the Irish lad walked into the living room she went still seeing what was in his hand. Her jaw dropping and heart stopping as Declan looked back at her with a blinding smile.

"Surprise!" he tried not to jump where he was.

"Dec..." Rosie could barely say as she knelt down in front of the pet carrier he had.

She didn't know what to do as she saw the timid looking kitten staring right back at her before Declan reached to open the door.

"So I know you said no dogs, not until we have a house," the dark haired lad said a little nervously as his girlfriend stood there frozen, "but I know you love Al's cat Bella and said you missed having one around since she moved out. And my coworker said she breeds cats and this little one is from her latest litter."

Rosie could barely breathe as Declan pulled out the little furball, a tiny meow escaping the kitten as he carefully offered the pet to her. From how cute it was, to the tiniest noises that were escaping the cat as the green eyed girl settled it in her arms she quickly felt her heart melting.
