Forced to move (glad I did) Ziggy Katz X Will Byers

Chapter 2 - Unwelcome

    It was the Friday before school started and there was a football game at the school at 6 pm.  Jane was cheerleading tonight and it sounded like Lucas and Mike were playing (Jane said Mike mostly rode the bench). 

    "Do you need a ride to the school Jane" Will asked before he would be asked to.

    "No, Mary Beth will pick me up since she lives nearby.  Mike will give me a ride home after the party tonight.  Why don't you come to the game and come with us to the party afterwards?"

    "No thanks, I will come to another game to watch you cheer.  I just don't feel like going to this one.  Are you and Mike dating since he is taking you to the party?"

    "Yes we got back together 2 weeks ago.  He has started acting like a better friend and now we decided to date again.  He is much more mature about things since last time."

    "Oh, okay have fun tonight."  Will didn't know how to react to that.  Will wished Mike was this mature new person when he confronted Will about the painting before Vecna was defeated.  Will could of used some understanding from Mike instead of what he received when he confessed to Mike.

   Another thing Will didn't understand was why Mike would want to get back together with Jane 2 weeks before Will came back.  Jane knew Will was coming back at that time, she probably told Mike about it also.  Ah, it probably is a coincidence so Will stuffed the thought deep in his brain.

    After Jane was gone Will decided to grab his old bike that Jonathan and him found in the junkyard last time he was in Hawkins.  The tires were flat so Will grabbed the air pump and pumped up the tires.  After spraying WD40 on the chain, Will took the bike and rode up to Family Video to rent a movie.  When he walked through the door he saw Steve and Robin working.

    "Didn't that guy look just like Mike Wheeler?  It is freaky how much they look alike."  Robin was telling Steve

    "Yeah, he could be his twin...."

    "What is this about a Mike lookalike"  both workers glance at Will who they didn't see until now.

    "Jesus Will, you could give me a heart attack.  When did you get back in town?"  Steve inquired

    "Wednesday afternoon.  I was forced to come back from Portland.   Do you have any good movies to rent?" 

    "Why aren't you at the game like the rest of the kiddos?"

    "Probably because the Party isn't talking to me right now.  I know Jane told them of me coming back but I didn't expect a welcome commitee, I thought at least one of them would of stopped by, even if it was to see Jane."

   "We would of came by if we knew you were coming back to town.  None of the little shits even mentioned you coming back, not even Joyce last week."  Steve said

    "Ever since the fight this spring, mom didn't know how to handle me so she probably didn't want to say anything until I was back in town."

    "Did you say you were forced back here young Byers?"  Robin arched her eyebrows at him.

    "I didn't mean to offend you guys since you been good to me.  I meant to say that I was under the impression that I would finish Senior year in Portland until the rug got pulled out from under me two weeks ago by mom and Hop.  Mom thought that I should come back because she missed me."  Will had a small smile on his face.

    "I am glad you are back Will" Robin gave a soft smile.  "Hey dingus can you go get Will Willow and Harry and the Hendersons, I think he would enjoy them."  Steve went to get the tapes while Robin and Will talked.
