Forced to move (glad I did) Ziggy Katz X Will Byers

Chapter 4 - College?

At lunch Will went outside to one of the tables to eat because he didn't want to deal with the Party or be stared at when he sat alone. He was joined by Ziggy. Ziggy didn't bring a lunch so Will gave him one of his turkey sandwiches to eat.

"Wow this is a good turkey sandwich. Usually people eat plain ham but my family doesn't eat pork, so this is nice."

"Yeah my mom started getting into her Jewish background more as she gotten older so out went pork and in came more turkey and beef. Anyway Ziggy, what are your ideas about going to college early?"

"I would like to get a head start on college so if I could, I would like to attend with you. I don't have my drivers license so I would have to ride with you there if you don't mind. My parents would pay you some money to drive me to school to help compensate some costs."

"I would like the company, this would be like a grand adventure for us, like..." Ziggy was laughing at Will "Hey, I am excited about this. Would you join me on this curiosity voyage my bard?" Will put out his hand like he was asking Ziggy to grab it and they would fly away together. "You are such a dramatic dork, Will. Can't you ask without the flair?" "I thought a fellow artist would appreciate drama. Since you are so adult maybe I will go it alone" Will looked at Ziggy with his eyebrows arched. "Whatever" Ziggy and Will looked at each other and busted out laughing. They spent the rest of lunch talking about schools they attended and interests.

At lunch time the Party and Bart are sitting at the the football table. They are eating their school lunches and laughing and talking like usual. "Ugh, I can't stand school already, the worst part is there are two years of this crap" Max was releasing her frustrations out to the group. "Lucas and I will be done this year while you and Jane have to suffer through another year" Mike smirked while holding a French fry.

Bart sat off to the side laughing at Mike, not his comment. "What is so funny Bartkowski" Max snapped at him while the rest of the group turned to face him. "Let's just say that we are all dumbasses compared to the two guys I met this morning in homeroom. These two guys are so smart they are going to be attending college in a week or so." "Bullshit" Mike called out. "Not bullshit, Mr.Danforth is setting these guys up to attend Ridgeline as we speak." "Who are these guys" Lucas spoke. "Let's call one Ziggy and the other Will." "You mean like my brother Will?" "Exactly your brother Will, Jane. He had only one class he was required to take this year, ONE!"

Mike was looking out at the lunchroom looking for Will but didn't see him. He wanted to see him alone and moping but he is no where to be seen. Mike doesn't hate Will but he wants him to feel a little of the pain that Mike felt over the past 3 years. Mike was brought out of his reverie by the conversation around him. "Who is Ziggy" Max asked with a inquisitive face. "Mike, you will love this" Bart had a teasing voice. "Ziggy is Ziggy Katz and is a new student from Bloomington. He has a unique look, basically he looks like a carbon copy of Mike down to having the exact same hair style." "What, we have two Wheelers running around Hawkins, what did we do to deserve that" Max blurted out. "Fuck you Mayfield. So where is this generic copy of me?" "I think outside eating lunch with Will. The important question to ask is if you were a twin that was seperated and then adopted at birth" Bart looked at Mike with an eyebrow raised.

"Anyway since they are new to Hawkins High, I gave both of them a tour of the school. Will looked pleased to be around Ziggy and Ziggy looked at Will like he was a prime rib to devour. I can't understand why you guys are so angry at Will, I talked to him and he is a decent guy. I think you should let him explain himself like you want him to instead of ignoring him. I would like to hang around with him." Mike looked at Bart but couldn't let any sound out of his throat. Mike didn't think he would be on the defensive on this. He was hoping to isolate Will, than talk to him and hopefully Will would see Mike's point of view and then become best friends again. Now Mike might have to confront Will sooner than he would like.

"Thank you Bart! I tried to get them to talk to him but they refuse to give him the time of day" Jane stated while staring down Mike with a 1000 watt glare.

"Um, ugh, kaff..kaff" Mike was trying to speak but nothing could come out. "Geez Wheeler having trouble talking, maybe you need to go back to grade school " Max sarcastically replied. Mike gave Max the bird. "I agree with Jane and Bart, I will talk to Will as soon as I can to straighten out this mess. He should be here at this table with us instead of pushed away like he is" Max looked at the group as she made her statement.

Mike was full blown panicking inside his mind. If Jane and Max find out what what he told Will the night before Vecna's defeat, Mike will be the one pushed out of the group. Worst of all he could lose Jane forever. Mike knows he has to talk to Will but after ignoring him and telling him to get lost, Byers will not be willing to talk to him. Mike needs to find a way to get him alone.

Mike and the group left the lunchroom and when Mike looked into the hallway, he saw Will and a carbon copy of himself smiling at each other and laughing about something. Jane ran up to Will and they were talking for a few seconds while this Ziggy turned his head and stared straight at Mike with a annoyed expression on his face. Fuck, it might be harder to talk to Will if this Ziggy is in the way.
