It's been a week since I started working at my favourite place in the whole wide world. After leaving PSG, I never thought I'll find a place that'll make me feel so welcoming and happy again.
Last night I had dinner with the Torres family, meeting Arturo's wife, Sofia. She's such a lovely lady.
Diego's parents weren't back yet, understanding that this usually happens. Their daughter had Diego when she was quite young and never got to live her life the way she had planned. I know it must be hard for Diego not having his parents around, but Arturo and Sofia are doing just great by him.Me and Diego became really close, considering him the little brother I never had.

It was 10:00 and I was already late for work. I called Diego to tell him I'm stuck in traffic, and he told me not to worry as the cafe isn't roaming with customers.
'Come on, come on.' I said beeping at the cars in front of me.
Without thinking twice, I decided to overtake some of them, almost crushing into another car.
'You got to be kidding me!' I screamed rolling down my window, but I couldn't make out the person in the car. 'Where the hell did you get your license?!' I shook my head.
The car let me drive first, thank God for no collision happening.
I finally got to work and parked the car.
'I'm so sorry I'm late.' I said entering the cafe. 'I almost crashed into some idiot.'
'You've been here for a week and you're already destroying everything in your path.' Diego said laughing.

The day was going well, customers coming in and out the cafe constantly.
'Diego really needs to teach you some Catalan.' Arturo said laughing.
'I think people can understand me just fine.' I shook my head smiling.
The next customer approached the tile. His face was very familiar, but I just couldn't make out where I've seen him before.
'Puc prendre unes croquetes i un caputxino?' the customer said with a smile on his face.
'Sure.' I nodded my head.
'Did you even understand?' Arturo said smiling.
'Yes.' I shook my head laughing.
I prepared some croquettes and a cappuccino.
'Allà vas. Gaudeix.' I handed him his order.
'Is that your car?' the customer asked, surprising me.
'Yes, why? Did something happen to it?' I asked worried, trying to look at my car through the windows.
'You should be more careful on the road.' he said with a wink and left the cafe, not before saying bye to Arturo and Diego.
'Pedri Gonzalez is the person you almost crashed into?' Diego asked, his eyes widening.
'Pedri Gon—' I started off but I quickly realised.
Oh my God.
That's why he was so familiar. He's a footballer and plays for FC Barcelona. I'm not the biggest football fan, but I've always been a fan of Barca because Messi played there, and knowing footballers was kind of my job.
'It wasn't my fault.' I said shaking my head. 'He should be the one careful when driving.' I shrugged my shoulders.

The rest of the day was less eventful, closing time creeping up on us.
'I can't believe Pedri was here.' Diego said shaking his head. 'And I can't believe you almost killed him.'
'Oh please.' I rolled my eyes laughing. 'He looked more than fine.'
'I'll never understand kids.' Arturo said shaking his head smiling.
'I'll see you tomorrow! Bye.' I said waving my hand and getting into my car.

Truth is, as soon as I got home I started researching more about Pedri. I know I shouldn't, as this was a fresh start without any football knowledge creeping into my life... but I couldn't.
