irinaa.daviess It took me a few hours to figure out what I wanted to write here about yesterday's events. I woke up thinking that it will pass, that the pit in my stomach will go away, but the bitter taste continues and so does life. - Since I was a little girl my dream was to watch Brazil play. The way they'll bring colour and dance and joy and excitement on the pitch was something I've never seen before. Something I admired and something I wanted to be a part of. I grew up around my friends, my family, my nephews wearing your name on their shirts and doing your celebrations. - Yesterday I had the pleasure of being able to finally be a part of it. To stop watching you from the comfort of my home behind a screen, to be able to smile and cry tears of joy and celebrate unconditionally how beautiful it is to see you on the field, for your country. How easy you made your recovery look, when the whole world knows it wasn't. - Yesterday Brazil deserved to win, Neymar deserved to win and the whole world deserved to celebrate with you. Do not erase the trajectory of those who bravely fought to be there. - The bitter taste of defeat does not erase how much Neymar deserves to be who he is, on the contrary, only proved why. - To the line critics and the whole word that always has something to say (not just about Neymar but the whole team and its players), it's "easy" to sit on the sidelines and tell them to do better or be better and say what should or shouldn't have been. - For Ney, I have to say it's a privilege to have been born in a generation where a genius like you is present, and it's even more of a privilege knowing your inner self. Te amo, te admiro e estaremos aqui, por você, sempre. Você é um campeão aos meus olhos, aos olhos de teu família, amigos e filho.❤️
