I gave myself the little treat of sleeping a bit longer as today the only match I have to stress about is Brazil taking on South Korea. Fortunately, I can return to my usual spot next to Luca but I can't promise it'll stick for the next match aswell.
I tend to get really into it.
After going on my phone for a little bit and responding to some of the lovely messages I get from the people watching me and supporting me on Instagram, I get up and get myself ready to meet with Caro first.
***
'Hey!' I say excitedly, walking towards my dear friend.
'Oh, I missed you so much.' Caro smiled, wrapping her arms around me.
We decided to have our late breakfast outside in the garden as the weather was perfect.
'Where's Davi and Val?' I asked.
'They're by the pool with Vini. I didn't tell the boys I'm seeing you so we can spend some girl time together.' she chuckled.
'Well, I do have some things to fill you in.'
'Ah, music to my ears.' she positioned more comfortably on her chair, a smile plastered across her face.
***
'So, you're friends now?' she asked.
I filled her in on mine and Bruna's conversation, including what happened at the party and Neymar's reaction the next day.
'I wouldn't say friends but...' I shrugged my shoulders. 'But maybe we can reach that point one day. Make everyone's life easier. I don't want Davi to dislike her because of me, at the end of the day she's his dad's partner. And I don't want it to be awkward between the two of you when you go to visit them in Paris.'
'You're my closest friend and I support every decision you take, and if you think this was the right thing to do then...' she shrugged her shoulders. 'We'll both go through it together.' she smiled softly.
'How do you think Davi is going to take the news?' I asked hesitantly.
'Coming from you, I think he'll understand.'
As soon as she finished her sentence the boys appeared in our sight, walking towards our table.
'Davi!' I stood up from the table and opened my arms.
'Oh my God!' he said excitedly and sprinted towards me.
I wrapped my arms around him in a tight hug, Val running towards us, trying to catch up with his big brother.
'Val, look at you.' I smiled.
I picked him up and hugged him too, putting him down as soon as Vini reached us.
'Hey.' I said softly, exchanging cheek kisses with him.
'You look great!' he said smiling.
'Thank you.'

We ordered some food and spoke about today's match, my time here, Pedri and what's happening back home.
'Davi, do you want to go for a little walk?' I asked him softly.
'Sure.' he said and got up from the table, grabbing my hand.
We walked all the way to the garden and sat down on a bench.
'There's something I want to talk to you about.' I said a bit hesitant.
He instantly turned his head in my direction, trying to read me.
'Did something happen?' he asked curiously.
