You twist and turn the truth,
So why was it a surprise that you lied?
I should have seen it all along,
But I didn't, and what's come has come.
Yes, I am still in my youth,
My lack of experience is something I won't hide,
Ahead of me is a life so long;
But that doesn't mean you
could take me for dumb.
What is it that you now ask from me?
For me to stay, to not to get up and leave?
I'm afraid this is an event you have asked for,
So don't even bother begging on the floor!
