season 4, episode 15; death takes a holiday

"Okay, Bobby, thanks," Sam said and ended the call. After the whole siren fiasco, we moved on and now are back to somewhat normal. Whatever normal was. We were now in a random diner while Dean was trying to get the jukebox to work, Sam was on his laptop and I was sipping on my Coke quietly.

Dean came over when he gave up on the jukebox. "What's up?" He asked Sam.

"Uh," Sam sighed and the sound of clacking under his fingertips was heard on the keyboard. "Bobby found something in Wyoming."

"A job?" Dean asked.

"Maybe," Sam replied, still looking at his screen. "Small town, no one's died in the past week and a half."

"That so unusual?" Dean questioned with his mouth full.

"Well, it's how they're not dying. Um, one guy with terminal cancer strolls right out of hospice, another guy gets capped by a mugger and walks away without a scratch," Sam explains.

I nod and put my cup back on the table. "Yeah, that's a little odd," I agree.

"Capped in the ass?" Dean says. I stare at him incredulously.

""Police say Mr. Jenkins was shot in the heart at point-blank by a nine-millimeter,"" Sam reads.

Dean stuffs more food into his mouth as he registers the information. "And he's not a doughnut?"

"Locals are saying it's a miracle."

Dean chews slowly and nods in acknowledgment. "Okay."

Sam closes his computer and leans over the table to us. "It's gotta be something nasty, right? I mean, people making deals or something," Sam suggests.

"You think?" I ask him.

"What else would it be?"

"I don't know," Dean replies with a mouthful.

"Eat your food before you answer, asshat," I tell him. Dean mocks me by taking another bite with a growl. "You pig!" I tell him.

I laugh mentally at the Grease reference I made.

"All right," Sam says and starts to pack up his computer. "Get that to go," he tells Dean. I get up with Sam and stretch out my arms. Dean remains in his seat and chews slowly on his burger. "What?" Sam asks him when Dean doesn't move.

Dean stays quiet for a minute before replying. "Sure you want us going with you?" Us?

"Why wouldn't I?"

"I don't know, I wouldn't wanna be holding you back or nothing. And clearly, Sof is one of the many," Dean says. My jaw drops in shock.

"What?" I ask, looking at Sam.

Sam looks back and forth between me and Dean. "Dude, I've told you a hundred times, that was the siren talking, not me. And Sof, I already apologized and I told you everything. Can we get past this?"

I crossed my arms, "I believe you saying I was one of the many was left out, Sam."

"Yeah, we're past it," Dean says, dropping the burger onto the plate.
