"Set got hit!" Nick yelled when they all made it into the car.
"It's my leg bruh." Offset confessed. They could hear the pain in his voice.
"We need to get him to a hospital!" Asia said in a panic.
"Hell naw!" The guys yelled at her in unison.
"Asia, we just laid out a bunch of niggas in a warehouse full of black market organs and lit dat bitch on fire! We can't go to no got damn hospital!" Nick fired back at her in his deep commanding voice.
"Alright. Well, I can call Deja. She used to work in the ER. She can help." Asia offered.
"Yeah, bet." Quavo agreed.
She dialed Deja's number.
"Asia!" She screamed hysterically. "What is going on. I thought you were-" she started.
"I know. I'm ok now." Asia said, cutting her off. "Please, we need your help with a bullet wound."
"What?!" Deja screamed again.
"Dej, calm down. Can you help us or not?" Asia asked firmly.
"Yeah, I can do it". She said, still crying.
"Alright, we'll be at your house in like 30 minutes. Open the garage so we can drive in."
"Ok, Asia. Yeah, I got you." Deja agreed.
Asia gave Quavo the directions to Deja's house. The boys carried Offset out of the car, into the house, and laid him on Deja's couch. The adrenaline had worn off and he was in a world of pain. She had a bottle of Jim Beam, numbing cream, forceps, needles, stitching thread, iodine, and gauze laid out on the table.
"Let me see. How bad is it?" Deja asked.
Nick and Quavo stripped Offset of his pants and exposed the bullet hole in his right thigh.
"It's not too deep. I can do it." Deja said confidently.
"Here, drink this." She handed Offset the bottle of bourbon while she applied the numbing cream around the wound. She waited a few minutes before picking up the forceps to begin unearthing the bullet round from his leg.
"Ahhh fuck!" Offset yelled as Deja dug.
"It's almost out. I know it hurts, just be still though." Deja said softly.
A few minutes later, and she had completely removed the bullet. She added more numbing cream and stitched the open wound. Finally, she coated the wound with iodine and wrapped his leg in gauze.
"Here, now take this." She handed Offset a Motrin 800 pill. "He needs to stay overnight. I have to make sure he doesn't run a fever." Deja warned.
"I'ma stay here with Set." Quavo volunteered. "Nick, you get Asia home and come back for us in the mornin'."
"Aight." Nick agreed.
"Don't nobody in dis room speak 'bout none of dis shit dat went down tonight. Get tha guns out the truck and give 'em to me. I'ma get rid of 'em tomorrow. If anybody ask, we was all over here at Deja's spot having a party." Offset coached.
"Bet."
"Got it."
"Alright."
"Yeah, ok."
They all agreed.
Nick and Asia rode in silence all the way back to Peachtree Street to the parking garage where Asia's Tesla was still parked. He followed her to her house to make sure she was safe, but before he left the driveway Asia leaned in the window of Offset's Challenger and asked, "Nick, is it okay if I stay with you for a few days at the penthouse?"
"Yeah, you already know you can." He answered.
She went inside, quickly packed a few bags, and jumped back into the car with Nick. By the time they got to the penthouse, it was close to midnight.
"You can set your stuff up in the guest room. Stay as long as you want." Nick said as he pulled Asia in close for a hug. If he had things his way he would secure her in his arms forever and never let her go.The next morning, Asia was up early. She went downstairs to find that Nick had already laid out a charming breakfast that consisted of two pop tarts and a red Gatorade.
"Nick, you need to do better with your grocery shopping." She frowned.
"I know, you right." He said scratching his head.
Channel 2 news was on the TV in the living room. They both listened in close as the newscaster reported a breaking story:"We're in the east Atlanta warehouse district where local firefighters have been working overnight to put out a fire that has claimed the lives of 5 people. We have not been able to identify the victims of the fire, but shocking details have come to light out of this tragedy. An illegal human organ market was being run out of the building. Local authorities are working to gain an understanding about the disturbing remains that were found inside the warehouse. More at 6."
