Nick dropped Asia back off at Deja's house after their date at the horse ranch. When he got home, he took his clothes and shoes off and laid down on his king sized bed. He reached over to the ashtray on his nightstand for the blunt he thought he'd left there, but it was gone.
"Damn, musta smoked that shit earlier." he said wearily to himself. Out of weed and out of his mind from loneliness, he turned on the tv to drown out the silence inside of the penthouse.
He closed his tired eyes and opened his mind, allowing his dreams to sweep him into a trance. Dreams that seemed so vivid behind the safety curtains of his eyelids. Dreams of him building his own studio and running his own record label. His dreams drifted into visions, visions of Asia and the way her petite little build rode expertly on top of her horse with her hips rocking rhythmically back and forth and her breasts bouncing up and down. He allowed his imagination to undress her and untie her hair. In his mind's eye, Asia laid seductively across the horse, circling him as she rode. She reached out for him, sliding her hands across his body as the horse circled by. She opened her mouth to speak, but he couldn't make out what she was saying."...for only $19.99 you can get not 1, but 4 ShamWows! Call right now and you'll be saying wow!" A cheesy infomercial blared loudly from the tv, jolting Nick out of his sleep and cutting his fantasy short. Exhausted, he pulled himself up and turned the tv off. He sat there in the dark, hard and a heavy of heart. He reached for his phone and called Asia.
"Nick, are you okay? It's late. " She answered sleepily.
"Nah, I ain't aight. Asia, I need you to come back home. I need you here wit me." Nick confessed.
"When?" Asia asked, half asleep.
"Right now. Tell me you down and I'ma come out an scoop you." He suggested.
Asia giggled softly. "Kirsnick, you're crazy, you know that?"
"A nigga jus crazy 'bout you. Get all ya lil shit together, I'm on tha way." Nick said.
He pulled up to Deja's house at 2:28am. Before he could even ring the bell, Asia opened the door. She stood there with a lazy smile on her face, a silk bonnet over her hair, and the handle of her suitcase in her hand.
"C'mon Bonnie, le'go." He joked.
"Let's ride Clyde." She laughed and played along.
They took a peaceful night drive back to the north side of the city. They quietly held hands in the Wraith, enjoying the beautiful spectacle of lights and the lull in Atlanta traffic.
When they got to the penthouse, Asia dropped all of her belongings by the elevator door and slapped her hands against her thighs to summon Rocket without any response.
"He still wit my mama. I couldn't really take care of 'em, you know, while you was gone I was down kinda bad." Nick admitted shamefully.
"Oh..." Asia whispered sadly.
"I mean, we can pick him up tomorrow if you wanna. I actually wanted to talk to you 'bout puttin' the penthouse up for sale, Rocket need some grass to run around and shit in." He smiled. Asia kissed Nick softly on the lips to combat his sudden sadness about not doing well after their breakup.
"Yes, we can go and look for a new place. What style of house do you want?" She asked.
He licked her kiss from his lips before speaking.
"What ever style house you gone live in wit me." He laughed.
"Alright. I'll take a look around." She said.
They went upstairs and climbed in bed. Nick held her tight against his chest until the sun came up. He felt at ease with her by his side again and rested in the fact that home was wherever she was near.
