'How? How in Hell was he able to mark me?! I mean I know how, it's just, when? Why? Where? Was I even conscious? Was he drunk off of grass? Did he even know what he was doing? Did Nixon know?'
"Miyla, Miyla?" I hear Tala's voice coming clearer and clearer. "What happened? Are you okay? Are you hurt? Where's Shurno? What did he tell you? Did-" She gets cut off when I notice that Shuno is not here.
Halo stands up and comes closer to me. He is usually very shy. He has never talked like this one on one with me before.
"Um,... Tala could you take Kayla and go outside the den for a second. I need to talk to Alpha Miyla." He says looking at his feet, all shy at his request. He starts to shift back and forth as the other two leave.
He looks back up at me with weird eyes I have never seen be put on his silvery face. His facial expression is all worried, but his eyes are almost dead with confusion.
"Um.. I know where Shurno is." He says. Short and simple. He keeps his gaze fixed on my hazelish eyes.
"Where is he Halo?" I say in a demanding and dark voice as if I expected Halo to do something to him.
"He's just to the left of the den at the edge of the forest." He says still keeping his long, dead stare. This is the longest anyone has ever been in contact with him.
"He also gave me a message to say to you, but trust me I know nothing of what you two were talking about earlier." He gives me a not so reassuring smile. It's not that I don't believe him it's just I...don't.
Nobody knows him well, except for Kayla, but he doesn't talk, howl, bark, whine, whimper. Nothing!
"What did he say?" I say more demanding as I step closer to him.
He leans up to my ear which frankly isn't that far for him. He has grown so much.
"'Follow my scent and I will tell you what you seek to ask.' Is what he said." Halo leans back and gives a high yip and the two girls trot in with mischievous grins.
"I'm going out for a bit. Tala you're in charge." I say quickly as the pack is sitting by Halo. I do not make eyes contact with Tala, although I can feel her concerning glare on my face.
"Is everything okay Miyla? You just woke up why don't you sit down for a bit." Tala come closer to me and brushes he side on mine. Annoyed I accidentally growled at her. I just don't have any patience anymore. I need answers.
"Miyla!" Tala yells in freight as she jumps back. My eyes are down to the hard, rocky, dirt floor. She looks and me very disappointed and worried.
"I'm sorry Tala, I just really need to go." I flick my tail weakly and dash out of the den. They watch at the mouth of the den as I run out of sight. I run without stopping for about a mile.
Shurno is standing by the dye of the forest. I followed his scent, but there is a new scent mixed with his. It smells familiar. I also feel like Shurno doesn't realize a new wolf is here. The scent is hidden.
I reach him and dig my head into his muscular chest. He looks very surprised and speechless. He stutters back on his feet. His muzzle opens like he is going to say something, but he just stares at me.
"How could Nyon do something like that to me? To his brother? To you?" I yowl into his chest as whimpers escape my mouth. I start to feel my legs wobble and give out.
I am laying at Shurno's giant paws. His paws are beautifully tipped with black unlike his silky gray coat. I try not to focus on Nyon, but it's the only thing I can think of.
