Her Fight For Freedom

Chapter 21

"Miyla, Thanks god your back!" Shurno runs up to me and I nestle my head into him big, fluffy chest. His warmth comforts me and distracts me from all the wolves, both old and young, staring at us.

"I don't know how long I could sit with fire coat over there." He angles his head at Blaez who is standing on a sharp rock looking very elegant. I guess whenever he is around there just so happens to be a large rock or boulder that he descides to stand on.

I roll my eyes at the two wolves looking at eachother with both of their tails raised in showing dominance. Their eyes are met for a long time. Both of them giving eachother the state of death. CREEPY!

"Okay, well is everyone caught up now." I look behind me to look at my pack. My small and tired out pack. They all look terrified of the wolves that have almost surrounded us.

"Everyone, this is Miyla." Blaez announces. Instantly all eyes were on him. All wolves changed their facial expression which is now bright, warm, and loving.

I could only hope to have a pack as obedient and loving as Blaez's.

"She is an old friend of mine and you will all treat her and her pack with respect while they are here." He continues, looking throughout the crowd of smiling faces. The all nod slightly or wag their tail.

"Good. Any volunteers whom could lend their den for our guests?" A small grin slips on his face as almost all the wolves gathered bark, yep, and howl in excitement.

"Star, you will take Halo and Kayla." He says as he picks out a joyful and beautiful blue wolf.

Her eyes twinkle in the sunlight. She has a small diamond on her scruff and a white, silvery tip on her tail. Star really fits her appearance.

"Robin and Rusty you take Miyla and.." he pauses to descides who to put me with. "No you know what?" He continues. "Robin and Rusty, you two take Shurno and Tala." They nod with obedience. They walk towards us and stand by them to show that they have been chosen.

Shurno looks at me with a mixture of confusion and anger. I look back up Blaez as he watches Shurno get furious.

'Is he enjoying this?' I think in my head as I tilt my head in wonder.

"Miyla will be staying with me." He announces. He flicks his tail and looks at me briefly before turning into the warrior training den.

Shurno turns furious. I can almost feel his anger as he grits his teeth and dashes into the den. His tail is highly and his scruff hair almost higher it seems. His anger is affecting his emotional state. We need to calm him down before he does something idiotic.

I look behind me and to my right where Kayla still stands in or little triangle. I look to my left and there is Halo looking straight back at me ready to go get Shurno whatever it takes. I look straight behind me and there she is. Tala my most trusted friend. I should make her beta.

"Go." I say quietly and Tala dashes in front of me. I look to my right quickly and to my left and give a small nod and simultaneously they run after Tala into the warriors den. With all eyes on me I run into the den about 3 seconds later.

"Shu-" I start, but I see him circling Blaez. He barks and growls very fiercely at him. As they both turn I notice that Blaez has already been bitten. It's bleeding all over his red, fiery coat.

"Shurno stop! It's fine!" I yell as I try to come closer to him. He looks at me out of the corner of his eye and growls.

The intensity of this moment can not be described. His eyes are black, nothing of any other color is showing. No white, no brown, just death black.

I realize what is happening right now. It's like time just freezes. When I figure it out it all changes dramatically. This is not a normal fight, it's a fight for dominance.

Stupid males and their dominance. They always need to be the best at everything and needs everyone to love them. They need attention.

"Shurno stop now!" I yell and all the wolves' jaws drop to the floor showing their sharp teeth. Shurno is still growling and doesn't let his guard down, but he looks at me. He actually looks at me with his sweet eyes not the death glare.

His eyes soften, but his growls seems to get even louder. It rumbles in his chest bringing a great fear to my heart.

"Stop this now Shurno." I say firmly. "Obey me as your Alpha not your mate. Now stop immediately." My eyes are cold and aggressive and my teeth show a bit to show who is Alpha. My voice is dead and dark. Striking fear in my own chest.

He drops his jowls and softens his growl into nothing. His ears stick to the back of his head like someone glued them there. His eyes do not meet mine at all. He keeps his head low and begins to whine for forgiveness.

I reject him. I flick my tail in his face. I puff out my chest and majestically trot out of the den.

Tala to my right showing great beta material, Halo behind me to my right, and Kayla behind me to my left. They all look serious, but at the same time scared. Scared about what will happen to them if I stay like this.

We exit the den and about 25 tail lengths away I exhale and stop puffing out my chest. It felt silly having to walk so straight and have your head up so high.

"Miyla are you alright?" Says Tala who is not making any eye contact. She keeps her gaze upon the dens in front of us.

"Yeah, I'm fine I just need some alone time." I say breathing slowly and trying to remember how I mustered up the courage to do that.

I climb into a den which was supposed to be Tala and Shurno's, but Tala said I could sleep with her. After all of that I'm not sure how I could face Shurno.

How he would react to me? Seeing me? Would he even stay in the pack? Being my mate? Would that stop?

My thoughts are clustered in my head as I rest my muzzle on Tala's stomach. Every now and then I hear gurgling noises.

The silence is comforting, but scary. Shouldn't there be crickets, bugs, toads, frogs, stuff like that?

The silence is broken by a sound I've heard before. A howl. Then a voice.

The thing is, the screech is right outside our den and the voice..

Is next to me..

It says..

"Y

E!"

Then more screeches. Then it grabs me. It takes me.

Hey there sry I've been busy with soccer and school. Well not really I just kinda didn't want to update. I'm too lazy sometimes. Anyway I just wanted to say that when Tala and Miyla were sleeping with eachother, it's not sexual like it is in the human world. It's a way of comfort. Thanks so much for reading I'm really happy that you are reading this cause I really love to write and I'm just happy you love to read. Oh and I almost forgot!!
