Chapter 28

"Hell no. Never will I ever be in a pack with him and his brother ever again!" Shurno spits at Soabe. Soabe doesn't look offended though, he doesn't even flinch when Shurno spit in his face.

'Oh boy. Not more drama.' I think in my head as Shurno and Soabe stare intensively into each other eyes.

"Soabe!" Yells a smaller wolf that runs towards us. His light gray fur is long and his face has small scares all over it. He looks a very young, but he is very strong. "Soabe what's-" The small wolf starts, but then looks at Shurno.

"He's-! That's-!" He stutters as he hides behind Soabe. His face burrows into Soabe's fur.

A small smirk appears on Shurno's face. He leans back so that everyone can see him smirking at the little wolf and Soabe. He looks up at Soabe and says, "I see your little, pipsqueak brother is still a scared, little pup."

Soabe growls deeply as he pushes his brother further behind him. He gets down low, looking like he's going to pounce at any second.

Almost instantly after Soabe gets into a fighting position so does Shurno. I can tell by their positions that they aren't just playing or just tricking us, no they actually mean to kill each other. Shurno drops his smirks and shows his sharp, beautiful teeth.

My heart drops as they both pounce at each other. Without making another thought I jump in the middle of them. I clutch Soabe's throat in my claws strongly, but not too strong to really injure him. I bite down hard on Shurno's jaw showing no mercy like Soabe. They whimper and squeal in pain as I throw both of them to the ground.

They lay on the dirt that is already full of corpses. They look at each other than look slowly towards me.

I stand there with Tala behind me in shock. My face is full of anger and disappointment.

"Look around you! Have you not had your share of death?!" I yell at them. Shurno looks at me sadly and embarrassed that I had to interfere. I look at Soabe who is looking down at the dirt full of fox blood. He looks up at me ashamed in himself, but also in awe.

"Get up! Now!" I yell and they both flinch. I turn around violently. I look to Tala's feet which holds Halo. He looks up at me in fear and sadness.

"Let him go." I say quietly to Tala. I turn back to Soabe and Shurno who are both still sitting on the ground. I hear Tala lifting her foot off the ground and Halo scrambling away.

"Why'd you do that?!" Shurno practically yells at me. He gets up and walks closer to me.

"No!" I order him. He stops in his tracks as he looks at me in concern. My vision grows blurry thinking about Kayla.

"Miyla, I'm sor-" Shurno starts as he takes another step closer to me. I look up at him with my tears strolling down my face. A small whimper escapes my mouth as we stare at each other.

I blink slowly and feel Shurno being pressed up against me. I rest my head on his shoulder and sob. I fall to the ground bringing Shurno with me. Tala comes over and rests her head on my shoulder trying to comfort me.

"Thank you." I say to Tala and Shurno. I sniffle a few times, but then throw away all my emotion. I turn to Soabe who is talking to the little wolf.

"Prepare your warriors. Find shelter, we attach at the crack of dawn." I order as I stare at Soabe fiercely. He nods slightly and returns to his warriors leaving the little wolf, who I expect to be his brother, all alone.

Out of no where Shurno starts running towards the little wolf. The wolf stands there paralyzed by fear.

I jump in front of the small wolf who immediately hides himself into my fur. I stand guard when I see Shurno pounce at me and the wolf.

I jump into Shurno and we both collide. We tumble onto each other. We bite, growl, and scratch each other. He finally pounces off of me and realizes that he didn't attack the little wolf, but he attacked me.

"Miyla I-" He starts, but then I cut him off.

"Shurno, What's wrong with you? You aren't the same wolf I fell for." I say sadly looking down to my feet. I turn around slowly keeping my head down. "Let's just take a break. Okay?" I say with my back fully towards him.

"Okay Alpha Miyla." He sighs heavily. My heart drops when he doesn't say my name softly like he always does. My broken heart longs for Shurno to come up and snuggle with me.

"Alpha Miyla." Someone with a much deeper voice behind me says. I turn around using all of my strength not to make any contact with Shurno. My attention is quickly grabbed by a large wolf with light black fur and bright green eyes.

"Yes?" I say as I sniffle up my tears. I look at the wolf with confidence. I raise my tail as the hairs on my neck stand up.

"I am Soabe's second in command. My name is Exon, if you need anything at all please come to me or Soabe." He says. I nod slightly and we stare into each others eyes for a awkward second or two. He bows and takes his leave.

I hear Shurno sight deeply and walk away slowly. His head hangs down low and his paws drag across the dirt floor. My heart breaks as I turn around and see his sorrowful and mourning eyes.

"Shur-" Starts Tala, but gets cut off by a big growl from behind both of us.

I whip around only to see Soabe and his brother standing behind us smirking widely. His yellow, evil teeth show slightly.

"We found Nyon."

Hey guys and gals I just wanted to say that I might delete this story. Maybe! Not positive, but I'm not quite sure let. And I'm sorry that I haven't written anything in such a long time, but I've thought that my writing skills aren't very good so I might just, I don't know, not publish anything. So please comment if u want me to make another story or if u want me to continue this one. If I get no comments I'm deleting it and if I get more than 3 from different people I'm keeping it.
