"Hey, Miyla. Please. Come on we have to get out of here, quick." I see Tala standing over me. She is bruised and bleeding. She keeps looking at the door.
"I can't stand on this foot." I lift up my head and point my nose at my bloody back leg.
"Can you try?" She asks, constantly looking at the door. I have no idea why she is so nervous.
"I don't know, but I can try." I say as I try to stand, but once I put the tinest bit of weight on it, I instantly fall.
"I'm sorry Tala. I can't go. You have to leave before Nixon comes back. He will kill you the instant you show your face." I stare at her with worried eyes. "You need to go now!" I growl at her. "Leave before Nixon knows your here! Quick I hear someone coming!" I howl at her. She runs to the right side of the den. It is the darkest part of the den.
"Oh, Princess Miyla!" Nixon howls with joy outside the den. He walks in slowly. His huge, muscular body flows through the air.
"I am very sorry about your foot, love, but it would've been a whole lot easier if you would have stopped. It also would have been helpful if you could have told us your friend was coming to beat up my pack. It would have been nice if you could have introduced us too!" He looks to the dark corner where Tala is hiding. She instantly pounces at him. His reflexes are you too fast though. He catches her in mid-air. He puts his monster paw on her throat.
"Soooo Princess, What is this beautiful's name?" He asks as he is putting more pressure on her throat. She tries to scratch his face, but he is too tall.
"Her name is Tala. She is my best friend. Don't hurt her please. I will do whatever you want, just don't hurt her." I try to stand, but I fall right in front of his feet. I look at him with eyes full of fear and hope.
"And what if I kill her? What would you do? Would you leave or would you stay?" He looks down at me playful and daring eyes. He puts almost 3/4ths of his weight on her throat. Tala tries to push him off, but she is starting to loose strength.
"I don't know what I would do! JUST LET HER GO! PLEASE!" I start to whimper. Tala looks at me with tears in her eyes.
"Fine!" He says. "You can stay here and decide. From now on you two are our prisoners. Do not think you have any special advantages anymore Princess Miyla." He lets go of Tala's throat. He walks out with his head and tail high in the air.
"Are you okay?!" I say scooting over to her. She is heaving for air.
"I'm fine, thanks." She says. "Are you okay? What happened to your paw? I told you I should've came with you!" She looks at me with concerning eyes. "Who is that black wolf? Why does he care about you so much?" She starts to pace in front of me. She looks back, forth, up and down as she walks to one side of the den to the other.
"His name is Nixon and he is a gaint ass. He wants me to become his mate, but I ran away. He took an opportunity and chomped on my foot." I looked down. "He tried to push my limits by trying to kill you to get me to stay, but it seems like it didn't work." My voice is low and depressing. "This means that he is willing to go past his limits to get me to stay. He has the advantage because of what he did to my foot. If only I can think of someway to be able to run without searing pain in my leg." I look down at my leg, my bloody leg.
"Then we need you think of some ideas!" She says trying to encourage me.
She perks up her ears and her tail. "Did you hear that? It sounds like-" Someone walks into the den. It is just too little pups.
