So I might have blown things out of proportion at work that day. I can admit that I was wrong because I was. China now thinks I don't trust her because the same thing happened again. We are still good, but I can tell she feels some type of way about it. Today we have our press interview, and the last thing I want is for us to be on any type of bad terms, big or small.
"Baby, are you ready?" China asked as we prepared to go to the area where the interview is happening. We are sitting in the room right now, waiting for them to come get us.
"Yes, baby. "Are you nervous?" I asked as I walked over to straddle her lap.
"Not really. Are you?" China asked as she wrapped her arms around my waist.
"A little." I admitted it, and honestly, I am nervous.
"Well, there's no need to be." "I'm going to be right there the whole time." China said, and I put my face in the crook of her neck.
"I know, baby." I said that and kissed her on her neck lightly. I felt her body twitch under me, and I smiled.
"Jenna." China groaned because she knew exactly why I was doing that.
"Fine, I will stop." I said, "Chuckling," and there was a knock at the door. I removed myself from her lap because that would have definitely been a sight to see. The door was open, and a lady was standing there smiling.
"Ladies, we are ready for you now." She motioned for us to follow. I am very concerned about China and this interview. She has had enough of the short end of the stick. We silently follow her to the area where we are supposed to be. She directed us to the couch sitting beside the table. Fortunately for us, this is a social media-based situation rather than a group of people approaching us and asking us questions.
"Hello ladies." A tall man says, and I turn to look in the direction where I heard his voice.
"Hi." China said with a slight smile, and I just waved at him.
"Congratulations on the relationship, you two." "We are starting in 30 seconds." He said this and went to sit at the desk beside the couch. There was a countdown on the screen, and I reached over to grab China's hand. Once the countdown hit five seconds, I put on my professional face.
"Hey, what's up?" It's Millie Mike, and we have with us two beautiful women who broke the internet recently. Yes, China McClain and Jenna Ortega are the newest it couple."
"Hi!" I said sweetly and focused my attention on the man in front of us.
"Hey, what's up?" China spoke up and squeezed my hand a little tighter.
"You ladies are all everybody can talk about," he said, and I smiled sweetly.
"Yeah, we noticed." It's like no one expected it." China said she was laughing, and I really hope this doesn't go bad.
