"Can you please explain to me why I am still standing here waiting on you?" I was annoyed and rolled my eyes at my phone. I am sitting here waiting on my mom and sisters to come over, but they are taking forever.
"Momma said to watch your tone." Aaliyah said, and I heard giggling behind her.
"I really want to see you guys, but I'm 3 minutes from being in bed." I groaned as I stood and stretched my legs.
"Jenna, you are always in bed. You better be awake when I get there." My mom said that, and I rolled my eyes.
"How far away are you?" I asked and started to walk in the kitchen for some caffeine.
"We are about 8 minutes away. You seemed so excited for us to come, and now you aren't going to be awake when we get there." Aaliyah said, and my mom agreed.
"Due to certain circumstances, I am not promising I won't fall asleep on the phone." I said, yawning as I poured my iced coffee into a cup.
"Is your wife home?" My mom asked, and it made me smile just thinking about her.
"She is out getting me chicken nuggets and getting our checks." I said this and continued preparing my iced coffee. "Mom, you are going to hate me, but can you stop at the store and get me some cheddar fries and a chocolate honeybun?" I said it sweetly.
"Girl, what are you doing feeding for six?" Aaliyah asked jokingly.
"No, just feeding for two." I said, and right after, I realized what I said.
"You are feeding for what now?" My mom said that, and I remembered I was talking through the car speaker.
"Surprise!!! Now about the cheddar fries and honeybun." I said like I didn't just announce I was pregnant.
"Jenna Marie, are you telling me you are pregnant?" My mom said she ignored my snack request, which made me want to cry.
"Yes, mommy and I am craving cheddar fries and a honeybun." I said I was still hinting at my snacks.
"Damnit, Jenna, I'm going to get you the damn snacks." My mom was annoyed with me. "Now you are telling me that I'm a grandmother?"
"I'm officially 6 weeks." I said this while smiling and looking at my very small pudge.
"I'm a fucking aunt!" Aaliyah said, and then she screamed because I'm certain my mom hit her.
"Watch your fucking mouth." My mom said that, and I laughed because she wonders where we get it from. "Now go in the store and get my grandbaby some snacks."
"Ooooh, are you at the store?" I said I was extra excited.
"Yes, we are right up the street at the gas station." Aaliyah said, and I heard the car door shut and then the phone disconnect from the car speaker.
