She twisted and turned. Allie was in so much pain. She was only eight years old, why was she feeling so much pain!
Why did Silena have to get herself into that situation?
She couldn't see anything, but she could feel everything.
Every step someone took, she felt the room shake slightly. Every breath that someone took, she felt it as if they were breathing on her neck. Everything that Will or Calypso or anyone else would say, she heard it. Every beep of the machine next to her, she could hear it. She could smell the ambrosia and nectar. She could smell Luke, sitting there by her side.
If the situation was reversed, she would be siting with him also.
He was such a good person.
He held her hand and rubbed circles on the back of her hand. "You'll be okay. I have faith in you. You're strong, just hold on. You're dad will be home in a couple of days." He told her.
Everything sounded so loud. His heartbeat rang loudly in her eardrum. With every beep of the heart monitor by her side, she cringed slightly. It sounded as loud as a bomb.
Luke's heartbeat rang with an equal amount of intensity.
"Okay," Will said as he walked into the room. "We are going to try to wake her up. Luke, please wait outside." He finished.
Luke stood and walked out with Calypso.
Allie tried to listen closely to what Luke and Calypso were saying. Surprisingly, she could hear them very clearly. It was almost as if she was standing right next to them.
Luke said "She better be okay." Calypso replied with "She will be, I have faith."
"What do we do if this doesn't get better? What if...what if the unthinkable happens?" Luke asked. He was tearing up, Allie could hear it in his voice. "She won't." Calypso reassured him
"I-" but Allie didn't get to listen to the rest of what Luke was saying because she was electrocuted with over 5,000 volts of electricity.
Allie's chest rose as she took a deep breath in, sucking in all of the air that she could. She was relieved of her pain. She could breathe normally again without it hurting her chest. With every breath that she had taken, it felt as if she was being hit in the chest with that ball of energy again, but she no longer felt that pain.
All that Allie wanted at the moment was her parents. She knew that her mother wouldn't be able to make it for obvious reasons, but her father should be home soon. Man, did Allie hope that he would be home soon. She missed him like crazy, but she missed her mother more because she has been gone for so long.
Allie rested back down on the bed and took long, deep breaths. "Allie?" Will asked. She nodded and said with a gasp of air "What's happening to me?"
"We-We don't know." Will said.
Allie heard two people run into the room. The next thing she knew, she was being crushed by Luke in a hug. "Can't. Breathe." Allie pleaded with him.
"Sorry." Luke said. She could tell that he was blushing. "Wait, your eyes." Luke gasped.
And as everyone in the room realized, they gasped. "What?" Allie asked. "Well, where there was once color, it is now as black as the pupil of your eyes. There are, I guess, little lightning bolts inside your eyes. They look almost like veins but the color of lightning, electric blue." Will said.
"Allie," Will said again. "How many fingers am I holding up?" He asked. "I don't know. I can't see anything." Allie replied.
Allie could practically hear everyone in the room's hearts drop. "You're blind. The power must have not only struck your heart and knocked you out, but also hit your eyes." Will said with a sigh.
Allie teared up and said "Wh-wait. So you're saying that I'll never be able to see again?"
Will took her hand gently and said "I don't think so, sweetie."
She looked downward and held her hands to her chest. Allie started to hyperventilate. She would never see again. The last thing that she ever saw was a blast of energy that struck her in the face. All because of Silena. No, it wasn't her fault. It was Nyx. She took her sight, and so in return, Allie would take her life.
Luke enveloped her in a hug. She buried her head in his shoulder and he stroked her hair. She would never see his sea-green eyes again. She would never see her mother again. She would never see her father again.
She would never see anything again. "Luke," Allie said as she broke apart from him with red eyes. "What do I look like right now?" She asked him.
"Well, your eyes are like Will said. Your hair is messy from you twisting and turning in your sleep. You are really pale." Luke said.
"Thanks." Allie said with a sniffle. Luke nodded, but quickly said "Anytime."
"Your father should arrive any minute now. You were asleep for a few days." Will said.
"I miss him." Allie said. "He misses you, too." Calypso said.
Allie heard a faint sound of what sounded like the conclusion of a battle. There were swords being sheathed and high fives were being given all around.
The sounds grew stronger until the laughter was heard right above them. She could smell that her father was the first person to land. He ran into the infirmary closely followed by the rest of the crew.
"Allie, what happened?" Jason asked. And so, she explained. "My baby girl." Jason said as he pulled her in for a warm embrace. "You have always been brave, like your mother." he said.
Allie smiled at that.
"Hi Allie, I'm Allie." a girl said. She didn't sound much older than she was, but the pieces started to fall into place. "Allie White, my aunt." She said.
Allie heard a hearty laugh and the girl said "Yeah,"
If only Allie could see her.
Awwww
This is so sad
Oh well
