Chapter 31: Leo Valdez

He stared in horror as his wife and daughter were held in Nyx's filthy hands.

"Give them back!" He yelled threateningly while on fire. No one dared to come near him, for they did not want to get burned.

"Why should I?" Nyx mused. "They are my family, that's why." Leo yelled at her. "So?" Nyx said.

"They are my family." Leo said through his teeth. "Oh, they are your family." Nyx said.

"Alright, here you go." She said. Nyx held the bubble that they were in and slammed it down to the ground. With a sickening crack the two girls hit the ground.

Leo ran forward, no longer on fire, and knelt next to his girls. The others followed suit.

"Calypso? Silena?" He asked. Calypso's eyes fluttered opened and she looked into her husband's eyes.

"Leo," she said. "What happened to you?" Leo asked her.

"Silena and I were sitting by the dock, just talking like we normally do, when something or someone grabbed my shoulders and knocked me out. They apparently did the same to Silena. We were trapped in that bubble for maybe an hour. Nyx said that Piper had been in there for three, but I can't even imagine it." Calypso said. Her eyes shone with fear.

"What's so bad about the bubble?" Jason asked quizzically. Leo looked back and saw Jason's arm slung across Piper's shoulder. Her head hung low at the reminder of that time.

"It shows you all of your worst fears. It showed me all of you dying and there was nothing that I could do about it. There was other stuff too, but I don't want to talk about it." Calypso said with a sigh.

Leo turned and looked at his best friend. She bit her bottom lip to keep it from trembling. That magical bubble thing must have been worse than it seemed.

Silena's eyes fluttered opened a moment later. "D-Daddy?" She asked. "Dad's right here." Leo said.

"I'm scared." Silena said. "I know, but it's all fake, none of it is real." Leo assured her.

She nodded and took a deep breath. "Wh-what happened?" Luke asked. They all turned their heads to see Luke sitting upright from his spot across the room.

He scratched his head as if he had just woken up from a nap. He was funny without even trying to be.

"Luke!" Allie Grace yelled. Luke's parents and Allie ran over to him, Allie in the lead. The rest of the group followed suit.

There seems to be a lot of back and forth action.

"Are you okay? Can you see me?" Allie asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Luke said. "I'm just a little sore." He finished with a smirk.

Percy chuckled and with a smirk said "There ya go."

"I love how whenever I leave the room there is a small, yet cliche family reunion." Nyx said.

Leo rolled his eyes and turned around. With one swift motion, Leo lit his hand on fire and tossed the ball of fire towards the goddess.

It hit her square in the chest and she fell over.

The fire started to spread across the entire throne room at a rapid fast pace.

"Whoops." Leo said with wide eyes. There was a strong gust of wind that blew most of the fire out. Leo turned and saw Allie White with her hands up as she continued to blow out the fire.

He smirked at that. Sammy, who had a piece of his father's shirt wrapped around his neck as a bandage, walked up to Allie White.

"I did it." Sammy said. "I'm proud of you." She said. "What are they talking about?" Percy asked. "No idea." Leo whispered back.

"It's not over yet." Nyx said. "WHEN WILL YOU LEARN TO STAY IN THE ROOM FOR ONCE?!" Allie yelled at the goddess.

Someone was a little fed up.

"I think that now is a suitable time for that to happen." Nyx smiled. Allie took a deep breath and her face showed that she was lead to a breaking point.

"I. Am. So. Done. With all of this." Allie said, her jaw quaking slightly from anger.

"Done with what?" Nyx questioned her. "With people like you." Allie said with a snarl on her face.

Surprisingly, Nico walked forward and placed his hand on her shoulder. She stopped quaking with anger and took a deep breath.

Leo stole a glance to Castor.

Castor was troubled by this, but he knows that Solangelo is a thing, so he shouldn't be too worried.

"Nyx, why don't you tell them all what you told me, in the dream?" Allie mused with her jaw clenched.

"I would be happy to." Nyx smiled.

Allie's face dropped. Uh oh, this can't be good.

"Thalassa and Tartarus were working for me, but towards the end they went astray and got themselves killed. Our plan was to kill your precious Allie White, have her reborn, and then, in her weakened stage, beat her until she begged for us to end it all." Nyx said with a maniacal smile upon her face.

"That's so messed up." Percy mumbled. Luckily, Nyx hadn't heard him.

She then said "Everything was going to plan, until now. I guess that I will not get the chance to beat you like I intended to do, but a slow and painful death can still satisfy me."

Nico pulled Allie behind him and took out his sword in one swift motion. "You have done enough. Give me my father's castle back and go." He said.

Leo smirked. Things were about to go downhill very fast. Well, for Nyx at least. No one likes a pissed off Nico DiAngelo.

"And what if I don't? What will the mighty Ghost Prince do to me?" Nyx mused.

Nico gave a silent chuckle and said "Want to see?" His voice was laced with sass. Finally, Nico is using his almighty sass at the correct moment.

"I would be honored to-" Nyx started to say, but was cut off by a sword that pierced her chest.
