Chapter 40: Piper Grace

They ran towards the doors as fast as possible. They wouldn't be there for at least an hour at this rate. "Jason, can you fly us over again?!" Piper asked her husband.

"I needed Allie's help last time, but I can try." Jason responded. Frank then said "I can take some people on my back as a dragon."

"Take Hazel and Allie on your back, Frank. Jason, can you take the rest of us?" Percy asked. "I can try." He said. "Daddy," Allie Grace started. "I can help." She finished.

"Are you sure?" He asked. "I've been practicing." Allie assured him. "Alright," he said.

And so, Hazel and Castor made their way over to Frank in dragon form. Castor draped Allie over Frank's back and walked back over to the group. Jason and his daughter made a platform of air and levitated everyone into the air. "Good job, sweetie." Piper said to her daughter. She smiled in response, not breaking her focus.

They flew towards the doors at a rapid pace, Frank following close behind. Castor was guiding Jason and Allie as to where the Doors were.

They flew along smoothly for what seemed like ten minutes. "We'll be there soon." Castor said.

Piper hoped that Allie didn't die again. It couldn't be her fate to die once again, protecting her family. It would be way too unfair on her part. The gods would never be able to bring up her name without both the Greeks and Romans practically starting a war.

Allie White, despite not really having any friends while she was alive, once she left, everyone realized that they missed her.

Piper knew that she didn't have any friends, but when she died, Reyna burst into tears. She cried for days on end, not talking to anyone. Reyna took it harder than anyone.

Reyna had practically raised her, so Piper knew how hard she must have taken it. Reyna treated Allie as a daughter, or so she thought she did. Reyna and Gabriel Duke didn't have any children because Reyna is barren. They didn't consider adopting any children because they were always so busy running the camp.

Piper helped Reyna through Allie's death. They got over it together. No one told the Romans that Allie was back, so if they found out that Allie came back, but died once again alongside the Greeks, that would definitely start a war. That was another reason as to why Allie needed to live again.

Jason and Percy can't loose their sister again. Castor can't loose his girlfriend after just coming back from the dead. The rest of the group can't loose her, she's a part of the family. Allie is strong, she'll make it through this.

This was one of the images that Piper had seen when she was in the bubble. If this came true, that made her worry that some of the other images that she saw would come true. She saw many different ways of her loved ones dying. Jason, her daughter, her father, Leo, Annabeth, Hazel, Percy, Frank, Luke, Sammy, Silena, and Calypso all had many different ways that they died in her images. She also saw Allie and Castor die, and that is the image that is coming true.

Piper turned around and saw Frank flying behind them. Hazel's arms were still outstretched above Allie. She lay limply across Frank's back. Hazel held Allie's head in one hand and held her other hand above her heart. Hazel made eye contact with Piper.

They had a conversation with their eyes. Piper asked "Will she make it?" And Hazel responded with "I hope."

"Here we are!" Castor said. Jason and Allie landed the air platform. Castor ran to Frank and picked up Allie so that he could change back into a human.

"The Doors look different than when we were here." Annabeth noted to Percy. Allie Grace grabbed what looked like a television remote and clicked a button. The elevator doors opened. Everyone looked at her like she was a mad genius, and so she said "I had a dream about when Castor and Allie left through the doors, she pressed this button."

Piper nodded and they all entered the doors. Frank turned into a fly so that everyone could fit. Just as the doors were about to close, there was an angry screech that filled the air.

Nyx was sprinting towards the doors. Why she didn't flash to them, Piper had no idea. Piper shoved the doors closed with Jason's help.

Nyx tried to pry the Doors opened. "Twelve minutes!" Annabeth shouted.

Piper and Jason held the doors shut for what felt like hours. Piper's forehead was beaded with sweat, and Jason's eyes were squeezed shut in concentration. Their muscles were shaking from strain.

Dark mist seemed to be flooding into the elevator. "She's trying to enter the mortal world!" Annabeth shouted.

"What do we do?!" Hazel asked. "How did Allie kill Tartarus and Thalassa?" Annabeth asked. "She electrocuted Thalassa and slammed Tartarus in between two tectonic plates." Percy said. "Electricity resembles fire, and fire and water are opposites. Earth is the closest opposite of hell. So, how do we defeat darkness?" Annabeth said.

"Sunlight!" Luke exclaimed. "How do we get sunlight?!" Allie Grace asked. "Castor, can you do anything?" Annabeth asked. "My dad is Dionysos, not Apollo, I can't." Castor said.

"Leo, what about your fire?" Annabeth asked quickly. "I can try." He said.

He took a deep breath and said "Stand back." They followed his orders. He shot a small stream of fire towards where the darkness was coming from. Nyx's screams filled the air, but soon they were no more.

Piper didn't know if Leo had defeated Nyx or just shut her up for a little while. Either way, she needed to focus on keeping these doors closed.

"Two minutes!" Annabeth's shouted.

Soon, the doors made a ding sound, and they all ran out of the elevator. Castor sat Allie down onto the ground and held her head in his lap. "Come on, Allie!" He plead with her.

Hazel held her alarms over Allie's heart and said "She's slipping, but she's holding on with everything that she's got."

"Keep holding on, Allie." Percy begged. "APOLLO!" Jason bellowed. Suddenly, a burst of light appeared. Everyone looked away.

Standing before them was a pissed off god of healing.
