Swimming was harder than she had as originally thought. Sure, swimming normally for an hour at a time was easy, but swimming from Long Island Sound to California? Dam, she really didn't think this all of the way through.

She was staying by the coast and propelling herself towards Florida.

Allie planned to swim across the Rio Grande instead of all of the way around South America, because that would take weeks, maybe even months.

Allie was over-exhausted and decided that she needed to sleep.

She swam to shore and found a spot on the beach that was hidden in the shade. A little nap could never hurt anybody.

But with sleep meant dreams.

She saw the rest of the seven and their children talking with Chiron. "We are all leaving tomorrow to go get them back. We are leaving behind Calypso and Silena." Percy said.

Chiron sighed and said "Be careful, Allie and Luke are still very young."

Percy raised an eyebrow and said "Luke is my son, I think know how to handle my kid."

"I didn't mean to start a fight, I was just clarifying." Chiron retorted. "I know." Percy said with a small smile.

"I wish you the best of luck on your quest." He said.

(Chiron only visited once a month, just to check up on the camp. Clarisse always had this day off, so it was a coincidence that today was that day.)

"I thought that Allie had come back along with Castor." Chiron stated. "She did, that's why we are going on this quest." Annabeth said.

"Oh," Chiron said. The dream switched to a dark room.

Allie stayed silent for a few minutes, straining her ears for any noise.

All that she heard was her heart beating rapidly in her chest.

"Hello?" Allie called. "Hello," Nyx mused. "What do you want?" Allie asked with a roll of the eyes.

She was already going to Nyx to offer herself as ransom for her friends, what more did she want?

"I do not need anything at the moment." Nyx said. Could she read Allie's mind? "Yes I can." Nyx said.

Allie swallowed hard. That's creepy...

"I heard that." Nyx said. "Good." Allie retorted.

"If you don't want anything, then why are you here?" Allie asked. "You are, at the moment, being taken somewhere. I want you to be asleep, so I am holding you here." Nyx said.

"Where am I going?" Allie asked. "You will see." Nyx replied.

"Enough with that. Just tell me if I'm going to see it anyways." Allie demanded.

"I have mortals that are working with me. You are going on a plane to DOA Recording Studios." Nyx said.

"Thanks," Allie murmured with sarcasm laced into that single word.

It felt as if a hand was clutching her throat, the sharp nails of this person were digging into her skin. "What was that?" Nyx whispered by her ear.

"I said thanks." Allie spat out. "Say it with appreciation." Nyx demanded. "Thank you for your generosity." Allie said while clenching her teeth.

"There you go." Nyx said. She let go of Allie's neck and walked away. Allie stumbled and fell to the ground while holding her chest. As Allie regained her composure, Nyx said "Behave, and your death will not be as painful as last time."

Allie's eyes widened in fear. "W-Why do you want to kill me?" She asked. Allie figured that Nyx just didn't want her to be a threat to her plans, not that Nyx wanted Allie dead. She had played right into Nyx's hands.

"Your blood. The whole situation with Thalassa and Tartarus was a hoax. Everything is going to plan." Nyx said.

"What do you mean?" Allie asked. "Thalassa and Tartarus were working for me, but towards the end, they went astray and got themselves killed. Our plan was to kill you, have you reborn, and then, in your weakened stage, beat you until you begged for us to end it all." Nyx said. With every breath that she took, she took a step closer to Allie.

Allie's breaths quickened, her heartbeat rose, her jaw was clenched, and her mouth formed a snarl. How sick could some people be?

"I-" Allie started to say. "No, you cannot speak." Nyx said. "You can't stop me." Allie contradicted.

"Watch me, darling. Once you are in my clutches, the pain that you will feel will be unimaginable." Nyx said. Allie could tell that Nyx wore a maniacal smile on her face.

Allie was now seriously wishing that she hadn't left Camp Half-Blood. She knew that this was the only way to set her friends, no, family, free. But Allie was scared. She was more frightened than she had ever been before.

"I shall see you soon." Nyx mused. For a moment, Allie saw a female face that looked hauntingly familiar. Just as soon as it appeared, it disappeared.

Things were beginning to turn even worse, if that were possible. Allie was woken up by a burning pain on her back.

Allie's eyes shot opened and she felt her wrists restrained by celestial bronze handcuffs that were chained to the wall.

She could feel the wind whipping her skin. Allie noticed that she was on a plane with the back opened.

Her bare back was showing and somebody was pressing a metal bar onto her back. Allie could feel the letter being embroidered into her back.

What was the letter, you ask?

The letter was 'N', for Nyx.
