"wake up, lovebirds," conan says. i feel my body shake, opening my eyes. he was shaking olivia's shoulder. "we are," olivia groans, digging her head in my neck as madison pulls open the curtains. "buffet starts in 15," madison says. "got it," i say, closing my eyes. "get up, you two!" conan laughs, "partly because i cannot stand to watch people being romantically in love." "deal with it," olivia mumbles. "come on, liv," i chuckle, moving the blanket off us.
i roll us over, laying olivia on her back. she disconnects her arms, letting them drop beside her as she closes her eyes. "we're in hawaii," i chuckle, "you gotta get up." "i know," olivia whispers. i smile, ducking down. i give olivia two kisses on her forehead. olivia hums softly, and i get off the bed.
olivia decides she needs a tan, so we go to the pools again after getting changed. it was a little more crowded, so we go to the one with the least amount of people. olivia lays on one of the sun beds, and we place the towel on the one beside her. i watch olivia as she laid on her back, closing her eyes. "you're gonna do that for hours?" i ask. she opens her eyes again, "yep. that's what tanning is." "i know," i laugh. "i'll come into the pool later," she smiles, opening her arms. i smile, bending down. olivia pulls me in for a quick kiss. "now go play in the pool," she smiles. "okay mom," i say. "y/n! don't call me that! you just kissed me!" she laughs. i laugh, shaking my head, "you're so gross!"
i look at olivia after she calls my name. i get out of the pool, walking over to her. "can you put sunscreen on me, please?" olivia asks. "sure," i say, getting my towel and wiping my arms and hands on it. i pick up the sunscreen, putting some on my hand. i bend beside olivia, starting to spread it on her stomach. i look at her, and i see her open her eyes and smiling at me.
after spreading it around her stomach, i shuffle up, start to spread it around her chest. rubbing the sunscreen around her neck and arms, i move to her face. "how's tanning going?" i ask, putting sunscreen on her cheeks. "going good," olivia says, "fell asleep for a little." "didn't notice," i say, starting to rub the sunscreen in. after i finish with the sunscreen, i put it away. "thanks, love," olivia says. i smile at her, "no problem, olive." i give her two kisses on the lips, before walking back to the pool.
i walk out of the pool, water dripping off me. i walk to olivia, who had her eyes closed. she opens them once she feels water dripping onto her. "you good?" she asks. "no, i want you to hang in the pool with me," i say. "soon," she says, closing her eyes. i bend down, scooping her up bridal style. "y/n!" she yells. i run to the pool. "hold your breath!"
i wrap my arms behind olivia, feeling her body shaking. "water's still freezing," she says. "you've been in here for ten seconds," i laugh. "still cold," she says, turning around to me. she lets out a shaky exhale, chuckling. "cold, cold, cold, cold," i say. "yeah," olivia laughs, "that's me." "hi cold, i'm y/n." "shut up," olivia laughs.
i walk to my suitcase, taking out a hoodie. i put it on, standing up. "do you have another hoodie, y/n?" olivia asks. "yeah, want one?" i ask. "yes please," she says. i take out another hoodie, throwing it to her. olivia catches it, putting it on.
we walk to the car, and i open the passenger door for olivia. "thanks," she says, kissing my cheek as she puts a leg in. "no problem," i say, closing the door after olivia gets in.
we drive to a local restaurant for dinner.
i smile, "table for eight, please." we get lead to a round table, and i pull out the chair for olivia. she laughs sitting down after saying thank you. i sit beside her, the waitress handing us menus.
i yawn as we wait for our food. "it's been two minutes, y/n," olivia laughs. "no, i know. just tired," i say, holding the sides of my chair. i pull it up, sitting closer to olivia. i lay my head on her collarbone. olivia lays her head on mine, and she takes out her phone. "tiktok?" she asks. "do whatever," i chuckle. "okay," olivia says, going onto tiktok.
olivia and i chuckle at a funny tiktok, and she swipes past it. "i'm gonna go to the bathroom," i say, looking around for the bathroom. "okay," olivia says. i lift my head off olivia's shoulder, standing up.
i walk out of the stall, placing my hand under the faucet. water starts to pour out of it, and i look up after hearing my name called. "y/n? from kaizen coffee?" a teen girl asks. "yeah, hi," i smile. "oh, i've always wanted to come to la just to try your cafe restaurant, everything seems amazing there," she chuckles, "can we take a picture?" "i hope you do when you get the chance," i say, "and yeah, of course."
i stand beside the girl. "oh, can you take the picture? i suck at taking selfies." "no problem," i chuckle, taking her phone. i hold my arm out, getting the both of us in frame. "three, two, one," i say, smiling and taking three photos.
i walk back to the table, sitting down. "welcome back," olivia smiles. "thanks," i laugh, "some girl asked to take pictures in the bathroom. "huh?" olivia says, "like, of her?" "no, together. she recognised me from social media, said she's always wanted to go to the cafe," i chuckle. "oh, first fan encounter!" "yeah," i smile. "in a bathroom," olivia laughs.
i lay next to olivia, arms touching. i go to my spider-woman account, deciding to post an old selfie from a month ago. olivia looks over at me, smiling. look back at her, smiling too.
i tap post. "hey, spider-woman just posted!" conan says. i look at olivia, and she smiles at me, covering her mouth. "what's the post?" i ask. "a selfie," conan responds, "so cool. wish i was friends with her. how sick would that be?!" so ironic. "she's pretty cool," i say. olivia laughs, nudging my shoulder. "what's so funny?" madison asks olivia, "i'd kill to be friends with spider-woman." "nothing," olivia continues laughing. "you don't like her?" i smile at olivia. "no, i love her," olivia smiles. "you better," i say. "i do," olivia laughs again, "a lot."
i yawn, checking the time. 9:01. "someone's tired," olivia whispers to me. "i am," i say, turning my phone off, "i think i'm gonna sleep." "okay," olivia says, opening her arms. i shuffle towards her, laying my head on her chest. "goodnight my love," olivia whispers, "i love you." my heart flutters at the new nickname. "goodnight, olive," i say, "i love you too." olivia wraps her arm around me, the other holding her phone. "goodnight conan and madison," i say. "goodnight y/n," they both respond.
i wake up, olivia's arms still around me. i look up, seeing olivia sleeping. i check the time, which was about fifteen minutes before olivia's alarm went off for the buffet. i move up, closing my eyes and pressing my lips against olivia's cheek. after a few kisses, olivia lets out a big exhale through her nose. "good morning," i whisper. "good morning," olivia whispers back, hugging me tighter. "how'd you sleep?" i ask. "good as always when i'm with you," she chuckles, "how about you?" "amazing," i say. "great to hear," olivia whispers. "yeah, i whisper, "we've got about ten minutes before your alarm goes off." "that's okay," olivia responds. i smile, digging my head in her neck and closing my eyes.
