CHAPTER 117 - sleeve

a/n - this chapter's a sad one here we go

olivia's pov
my eyes widen as y/n hangs up, and i look at the date. holy shit. it was valentine's day, and i totally forgot. i got her present before i left, and brought it with me, but i didn't realize it was valentine's day. my heart starts to beat faster, and i start to breathe faster as well. do i even give her it? she said that we're on a... break-but-not-a-break, so would that be weird?

y/n's pov , five days later
for the past week or so, i've been disappointing myself as i wait for olivia to come home. i guess not. i wrap olivia's birthday presents, finishing the letter and placing it in the envelope. even though we haven't spoken a word to each other since the break-but-not-break happened, i was still gonna give olivia her gift. after all, it was still her birthday.

i step onto the scale, seeing my weight go down a little. i mean, that's what happens when you barely eat anything for a week. can't say i'm not surprised.

it was really difficult without olivia. part of me wished olivia had just tried harder to not go on our 'break'.

and when i say 'really difficult', i mean it. a few days after olivia had left, it got really hard for me to eat, i felt like the only way i could cope with it was with a sharpener blade. i couldn't text olivia, because i knew she'd be back here in an instant. i'd be holding her back.
