The day was here. The day when we would protest against the GMF once and for all. Nobody or nothing would come in our way. This was our time, and this was our time to finally do something for society and open a few eyes, and wake up a few minds too. It was a hard task, but we would go through it, together. Me, Harry, Liam and Zayn. Four people against an army. Sounds ridiculous, right? What kept me going was that our will, mind and hope put together, would make an army of mental strength, and that could carry us a long way.

Were we ready for everything we might possibly meet? I don't know. Would we ever be completely ready? No. There would always be that little hint of hesitation in our minds, no matter when we did it. But we would ignore it, and face the fact that this was what we had to do. This was the right thing to do. Nothing felt more right than this. Yes, we all were risking our lives on this mission, but it wasn't only about saving Niall, it was also about saving humanity. Showing the world what Global Makers was really about. Because right now, it didn't look so good with the world in Global Makers' hands.

We were sitting at the airport, waiting to hear the lady call out our flight number and destination. Our bags were taken care of and we were ready for takeoff. The flight wasn't long, just about two hours it was said. Me, Liam and Zayn were sitting in the cafeteria while Harry was buying us something to snack on while we waited. He approached us with a board of food and sat down next to me. Zayn and Liam was sitting across from us at the table.

"A bagle and a coffee for Liam," Harry said and handed Liam a bagle with nutella on and the chocolate milk, Liam hooraying and clapping like a little child.

"A bagle and a coffee for Zayn," he continued and handed it to Zayn, Zayn smiling and thanking him.

"A belgian waffel and a coffee for me," he said, taking the plate with the waffle and coffee on in front of him.

He looked at me and smiled. "And a sweet, little cupcake and coffee for Violet."

I grinned at my plate that Harry just placed in front of me and smiled at Harry. "Thank you, sweetheart. If you hadn't bought me coffee I wouldn't've forgiven you."

He chuckled, and I could hear Zayn huffing from across me. I looked to him, seeing him glare at Harry.

"Really? A bagle for us, and a belgian waffle and a cupcake for you two? Don't you think we deserve some special treatmeant as well? We are going on this trip as well, you know," he said.

Liam dodged his shoulder lightly and looked at him with sad eyes. "Don't be ungrateful. At this point we shouldn't be ungrateful for anything."

I smiled at Liam for his kind words. They were true, and I knew Liam meant what he said. We shouldn't be ungrateful for anything. We should appreciate everything, and everyone. That's when I realized how dangerous this mission really was.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome onboard flight 47B with service from Greendale to Washington D.C. We are currently third in line for take-off and are expected to be in the air in approximately seven minutes time. We ask that you please fasten your seatbelts at this time and secure all baggage underneath your seat or in the overhead compartments. We also ask that your seats and table trays are in the upright position for take-off. Please turn off all personal electronic devices, including laptops and cell phones. Smoking is prohibited for the duration of the flight. Thank you for choosing Mountain Airlines. Enjoy your flight."

Ding.

We were sitting on the plane getting ready for takeoff. I wasn't really nervous since I had taken flights many times before, but it seemed like Zayn was a bit nervous. He was sitting next to me, Harry sitting in the middle of the flight, to his disappointment, just so that I could see him. He was sitting with Liam and a stranger, the same as me and Zayn. An old man were sitting next to us, and a little girl was sitting next to Liam. Liam loved kids, so that wouldn't be a problem.

"Aren't you nervous?" Zayn asked me, looking startled as ever.

I smiled. "No, I've taken many flights before. It's nothing to worry about really."

He frowned. "But like, I've read about all these flight accidents and seen things on TV, a-and-"

"Zayn," I cut him off, taking my hand to his arm, smiling reassuring. "It's nothing to worry about. The only "scary" thing may be the turbulance which makes the flight shake a tiny bit, but that's not dangerous either, it's just maybe a bit intimidating."

Zayn nodded and exhaled heavily. He really looked scared, more scared than I had seen him before. It was actually kind of attractive. Not that I had a thing for Zayn, but it was kind of cute. I took his hand in mine as the plane slowly started moving. He squeezed it and closed his eyes. Suddenly I noticed Harry's strongly furrowed eyebrows at Zayn, a smirk plastered onto his lips, looking like it could slip out a giggle anytime soon. I gave him a killing look and mouthed "don't you dare." He put his hands to his mouth and laughed, quickly leaning back down into his seat. I sighed relieved. Harry could be a total sweetheart, but he could also be some kind of a bully at times. He didn't go too far though, I made sure of that.

We were now up in the sky, full height. Zayn was still squeezing my hand, still eyes shut. I smiled.

"We're up now, Zaynie. You can open your eyes," I said comforting.

He slowly opened his eyes and they went from narrowed to wide open. His eyebrows raised and he looked out of the window, pointing at the clouds.

"We're up in the sky! Oh my gosh, this is .. Wow," he said in awe, and I couldn't help but laugh at how adorable he was.

He grinned at me. "Look, Violet! We're looking down on the clouds! This is so sick," he continued, bending over me to see out of the window. "So sick," he uttered once again quietly and smiled.

I grinned and nodded. It was like having your little brother next to you who was flying for the first time. Then I started thinking about Caspar. It hit me now how much I missed him. He was an annoying, little prick, but I still loved him. His first time on a flight was kind of like this. The pointing on the clouds, the excited shouts and looks. He wasn't nervous like Zayn though, just extremely excited.

"Violet?" Zayn suddenly said.

I wiped the tiredness off my eyes and yawned. "Yeah?"

I hadn't gotten any sleep yet. It had been about fourty five minutes or so. Sleeping on flights wasn't really my thing. I liked to either read or watch a movie. Mostly read. I read novells, crime and sci-fi. Zayn was either drawing or looking out of the window. His sketches looked amazing. I tried to see the whole thing, but it was impossible cause he kind of kept it hidden. But I managed to keep myself busy while he did what he did best.

"Do you think .. Do you think Niall is alive?" He asked concerned.

I smiled sadly and took his hand. "Oh, Zayn. I really, really hope so. All we can do now is be optimistic and have faith."

He nodded and tried to smile, rubbing the palm of my hand with his thumb. I lay my head on his shoulders, and slowly but surely fell asleep.
