I grabbed the phone as quickly as possible, just in case I suddenly forgot what I had in mind. I dialed Liams phone number. Harry and Zayn were looking at me with a questioning look.
"Who are you calling?" Zayn asked.
"Shhh" I answered.
"Hello, this is Liam?" I heard from the other line.
It was so good to hear his voice I almost cried, thinking of the nights back home when I missed my dear Liam and wanted him there by my side.
"Liam, hi! It's Violet!" I was so glad he actually picked up the phone. It was a rare thing for him to do.
"Vi? Wow, it's been so long! How are you, love?"
"Well, I'm actually in a situation here, and I kind of need your help." I began.
I told him everything that had happened and why we needed his help.
"I see.. Well, lucky for you I have 1 week off work now, so I've got loads of time! I'm pretty sure there's a flight to Greendale going tomorrow. Hold on, I'll check it right now" he said.
I waited a few minutes before he spoke.
"Yeah, there's a flight tomorrow at 2 o'clock. Is that alright?"
"Yes, perfect! Thank you so much, Liam! You have no idea how much this means for us" I said, whilst smiling at the boys. They didn't have a clue what was going on, so they just sat there.
"Anything for you, my darling" He said before he hung up.
I put down the phone and sat down with the boys again, excited to tell them the good news.
"So, I figured that we needed one more person here, because I strongly refuse to be alone with the two of you being on eachothers throats all the time" I began. They both looked down in embarassment.
"Plus, we're only three people, which is not enough. Therefore, I called my best friend from my hometown, Liam, and asked if he wanted to come and help us. Guess what, he said yes!" I almost jumped up and down out of excitement. It had been a while since I saw him the last time. When I left to Greendale, he was on vacation so I didn't have a proper farewell.
"So... You've hired a baby sitter?" Harry joked. Zayn chuckled. I grinned by the fact that Zayn was actually laughing of Harrys joke. Wasn't telling them that, though. That would ruin things.
"It's not a baby sitter, Harry. It's our gluestick" I said and smiled. He furrowed his eyebrows, Zayn doing the same.
"Our what?"
"Our gluestick! He's the one who's going to help us stick together and cooperate. Mostly you two." I pointed my fingers at them, as they rolled their eyes. "Plus, he's a strong and brave one. We do need that. The two of you don't seem too.. muscular" I teased.
"Oh, I'm muscular" Harry said, and started to undress himself. I waved it away and laughed.
"Harry stop, I was joking!"
I did kind of want to see his muscular body. But not in this situation.
"Well, when is this good friend of yours, Leeroy or something, coming?" Zayn asked. I didn't know if he was acting childish right now, or if he actually thought his name was Leeroy.
"Liam is arriving tomorrow at about six or seven o'clock" I answered, with extra pressure on "Liam". He nodded and started to push himself off of the chair.
"I think I'd better get going now. Got some stuff to do so.." I went over to him to follow him to the door.
"Oh, yes of course. I'll see you later then?" I said and gave him a hug, seeing Harry in the kitchen narrowing his eyes at us, before he quickly looked away.
Okay.
I closed the door after him. Harry was still here, and I wondered if he was going to leave or stay. He was standing by the window with his coffee cup, just looking out on the city. The sun was shining through his curls and sparkling in his face. It wasn't until now that I saw how beautiful he truly was. His jawline was perfectly structured. Eyes gorgeously emerald green. Hair brown as chocolate with lovely, little curls at the end of his long hair locks.
"So, for how long are you planning on staring at me?" He chuckled from the window, still looking out.
I quickly looked away. Dang it, he must've seen me in his side sight. He shook his head with a smirk on his face, taking another sip of his coffee. He stepped away from the window and sat down on the kitchen counter.
"Tell me about yourself" he said. I looked at him, half-smiling with furrowed eyebrows as I sat down as well.
"Well, what do you want to know?"
He stared at me.
"Everything" he spoke softly. I laughed, embarassed.
"Uhm, okay. My name is Violet McKenzie. I'm 19 years old, my hometown is Warrington and-"
"Wait, did you just say Warrington?" He looked at me with a shocked face. I nodded slowly, not understanding the big deal whatsoever.
"Unbelieveable" he almost whispered, before he continued. "You do mean Warrington in Cheshire, right?"
"Uhm, yeah.. Why is that so-"
"That's where I come from! Well, not in Warrington, but Cheshire! Holmes Chapel, have you heard of that place?"
I looked surprised at him. "Yes, of course! I've been there loads of times. It's gorgeous there!"
He grinned. "Yes, I know right? Have you been to a bakery down there called W mandeville?"
"Yes, they make lovely pies there!" They did in fact. I used to go there all the time when I had my holiday vacation to get their christmas special pie. Just the thought of it made my mouth watery.
"I used to work there when I was younger!" He said with eager. I could tell he loved talking about his hometown. It was very understanding.
"Really? That's so cool!" I said as he nodded and smiled. But his grin faded.
Poor boy. He probably missed it so much since he had worked here for a few years now. Even I started to miss my family and hometown, and I had only been here for a few days. I decided to change the subject up a bit.
"Hey, do you know any good restaurants in this city? Because I can't find any that I like, but I've only seen a few" I said to try and cheer him up.
A smile spread on his face. "Yes, there's this lovely place just down the corner where they serve amazing lasagna! And they have every dessert you could imagine! Can we go there now?"
I nodded and laughed at him.
He would probably get along with Niall pretty well.
If he ever gets to meet him.
