The next day Zayn slept off the alcohol till late in the noon. Harry left the other night after we had eaten and chatted for a bit. It felt a tense between us after what happened in with Zayn, but I figured it was for the best to keep some distance from him anyway. I had to keep my head clear, and remember what Fabio told me.

I was just about to make coffee for me and Liam, possibly Zayn too, when my phone rang.

"Violet speaking" I answered.

"Oh my God, hi Violet! It's your cousin Jenna! How are you? Oh my God, it's been so long!" I heard her sqeal in the other line, as usual.

"Oh, hi, Jenna. I'm fine, thank you. How are-"

"Okay, so listen up" she said, happy as ever, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

"I'm like, in Greenvale now, and I know you live there-"

"Greendale. It's Greendale" I corrected her.

I could hear her giggle from the other line. "Oh, sorry! I'm such a clumsy today!" She laughed more into my ear.

"Anyway, you were saying?"

"Oh, yeah, I'm in Greendale now, and I would really, really, really like to meet you! I mean, you're my cousin, duh!"

"Uhm, sure" I said and looked over at Liam, who was staring at me with furrowed eyebrows, probably hearing her squeal from the kitchen island.

"Iiiiiiik! Fantastic! I'll meet you at the River mall at 4 o'clock! Bye!"

"But, that's half an hou-"

She hung up before I could even finish my sentence. I only had half an hour to get ready, so my first act was to run back to my apartment. I knew that if I arrived there late, she would go on and on about how life's not fair and that some old, creepy guy by the fontain threw a penny at her.

"Where are you going?" Liam asked as I was at the door.

"Meeting Jenna" I yelled back from outside the flat and closed the door, before I stormed in to my own. I could see Liam's eyes widen at the name. He despised her as much as I did.

I didn't have the time to shower, so I put on some deodorant, put on my makeup and some proper clothes, brushed my teeth and fixed my hair a bit. I almost forgot to put on the perfume that she gave me for christmas last year. And yes, she would notice.

The River mall wasn't very far away, so I decided to just walk. I still had a good ten minutes before the clock striked 4, and the slightly cold air was refreshing since I hadn't been out all day.

I waited by the fountain outside of the River mall, as I heard her loud voice behind me.

"Oh. My. God."

She gasped and ran over to me. I hugged her back as she practically jumped into my arms.

"I can't believe it's you! Iiiiik! How long has it been, like, 5 years or something? Ugh, you look so pretty! How is everything, did you get the job you applied for? My mother and I was so excited for you when you moved here! But why is the mall so small? I mean it only has like 30 different stores or something. How do you even survive here? They don't even have chipotle!"

I was praying that somewhere in her mind, there was an off-switch where you could just turn her off and all her patter.

"Yeah, I got the job. It's very nice! The mall has got 56 stores to be precise" I said and sighed.

"Well, whatever, it's practically the same!" She said and laughed.

I nodded and fake-grinned. She took my hand and dragged me with her into the mall.

"Come on, let's do some shopping!"

I sighed and followed her, almost tripping over because of the rush she was in.

We were looking at a few dresses that she had seen before I came, and she practically forced me to try on, like, a hundred dresses for her. I didn't have much of a choice, so I just went with her.

Of course she wanted us to have starbucks, so we ordered an ice coffee each and sat down.

"Oh my God, look at that hottie!" She said, and pointed behind me.

I turned around to see none other than Harry standing at the counter, ordering a coffee and a donut.

"Harry" I uttered to myself, not meaning for her to hear, but she did anyway.

"You know him?" She gasped and stood up from her chair.

I furrowed my eyebrows at her. "What are you doing? You've still got some coffee left-"

"We have to go talk to him, duh!"

She grabbed my arm and pushed me off of my chair. My eyes widened as we approached him, and I stopped walking just a few meters away from him.

"No, there's no way we're talking to him, are you-"

"Violet, hi" I heard a graspy, dark voice say behind me.

I turned around, already knowing who it was.

"Harry, what a surprise!" I grinned, although all I wanted was to get the hell out of the mall and away from the two of them.

"Yeah. Coincidence, huh?" He nodded over at Jenna, eyeing her closely. "Who's this?"

"Oh, it's-"

"Hii, my name is Jenna! I'm Violet's beloved cousin, and it's very nice to meet you, gorgeous" she introduced herself, and shoved me away from Harry to stand in front of him, making me feel a bit uncomfortable.

"It's nice to meet you, Jenna" he said and quickly shook hands with her.

I couldn't help but notice that Harry looked a bit uncomfortable himself, his eyebrows slightly furrowed. He stepped away from her, a bit closer to me without it being very noticeable, unless you were very observant.

"Anyway, I was just gonna find somewhere to sit, so-"

"Oh my God, you should totally sit with us!" Jenna interrupted him and squealed.

I sent her a killing look and shook my head, making sure Harry didn't notice. But I think he did.

"Oh, that would be lovely" Harry said so politely, and smirked at me.

I smiled back, but only with my mouth. Staying polite and being nice to people had always been my first priority, but they both made it very difficult for me at this point.

For about an hour I sat there listening to Jenna babbling about nothing and everything, with Harry's small comments here and there. He didn't really get the time to finish them cause she kept interrupting him, so each time she did, I would just chuckle and Harry would roll his eyes and smirk.

"I should probably get going. Got some work to do" Harry said, and pused himself off of the chair.

"I'll see you at work" I said and smiled at him, mouthing that I was sorry that Jenna was being like this.

He shook his head telling me it was okay, before he winked at me, said goodbye to Jenna and left.
