I was starving when I got home. Of course I had forgotten to bring food the first day. I did actually make this lovely dish that I was going to bring, and then I forgot it. But I put it in the fridge, so I could just eat it when I got home.

I was reading a book, as I heard the doorbell ring. I walked over to the door and opened it to whoever was standing outside waiting for me to open the door. And which in this case, that was Zayn.

I smiled at him. "Zayn! It's good to-"

He pushed me inside and closed the door.

"What-"

He covered my mouth and locked the door. I groaned against his hand. Finally he took it away from my mouth.

"Zayn, what in the world-"

He cut me off again. "Shhh!" he whispered.

I remained silent. Not because he told me to, but because he kept interrupting me, and it was getting rather annoying.

Suddenly, I heard quick footsteps outside in the hallway, and a dark voice shouting: "Come out whoever's in there! You know we'll find you anyway."

I looked at Zayn with fright in my eyes, him looking at the door. I jumped when someone shook the door handle. My heart was beating so fast I thought I was going to pass out.

A gun shot outside. We heard a woman scream. I looked at Zayn, feeling a lump in my throat.

"Come on, we have to hide" he whispered, taking my hand and looking around the room.

"What about the bedroom?" I suggested.

He nodded, and followed me there.

"Lie under your bed, and I will hide in your closet" he said.

I did what he told me. What else could I do anyway? It was quiet for a while, and I was thinking about coming out from under my bed. Then I heard someone open the door to my flat.

"Violet! Come here, hurry!" Zayn whispered.

I crawled out from under the bed quickly, with Zayn helping me out as I approached him. He took my hand and dragged me behind the closet. It looked like he had moved the closet a bit forward so that we'd both fit.

The door flew open. We held our breaths. I felt like they could hear my heart beat. I was terrified. Zayn gave me a worried look, noticing that tears were in my eyes. He mouthed "it's okay. We're going to be okay." I nodded slowly. The worst part was that I didn't know who these people were, why they were here and what they were able to do. All I knew was; they had a gun.

Finally, they left the room. I let out a relieved sigh. Zayn smiled weakly, still not completely sure about our surroundings. I started squeezing myself out of the hiding place.

"Wait!"

I felt Zayn's hand on mine, and gave him a confused look.

"We have to stay here until they've left the apartment. We never know if they'll come back. They're still in your flat, you know" he slightly whispered.

I nodded. He was completely right. Thank God Zayn was here with me at this point. If not, I don't know what would happen.

Then I started to think about something.

"Niall!" I whispered.

He looked shocked, and bit his lip, wondering what we should do.

"Okay, so this is what we're going to do. I'll go and find Niall, and you'll stay here", he said, looking me deeply into my eyes. I shook my head.

"No, Zayn, that's way too dangerous! You can't, you'll get killed!"

I couldn't let him do that. It was too risky.

"Violet, listen to me. For all we know, Niall is-"

"No, don't!" My eyes filled with tears. I hadn't known these guys for long, but they were both so nice and I did really care for them. He placed his hand on my cheek and stroked it with his thumb.

"I'll be okay. Stay here, promise me that!"

I nodded, as a tear fell from my eyes. He wiped it away, before he squeezed himself out. I heard him open the door slowly. My knees broke down, and I was horrified by the thought of him going out there alone. Also, I was horrified by the thought of me being in here. Alone.

I had now been waiting for Zayn, and hopefully Niall too, for a long time. I was really starting to get worried. Of course, I was worried all along, but it got worse and worse for every second that passed. They had to come back soon. They had to.

As I began to lose hope, the door to my apartment opened. My heart pounded, afraid of who it could be. Footsteps came closer to my bedroom. I sobbed quietly. The door opened quickly, but silently.

"Violet?" A graspy, dark voice said. I slowly came out behind the closet.

"Harry" I ran over to him, jumping in his arms. "I was so scared, Harry. I thought it was those people, and I-" I sobbed into his neck.

"Shhh, it's okay. It's okay" he calmed me down while stroking my back. I was so happy he was here right now, and I couldn't care less about keeping him distant from me.

I pulled away, looking at him. "But.. How did you get here?"

"I tried to call you and text you, but you didn't answer. So I started to get worried, and then I called Fabio to ask him if you were still at work, and he told me that the GMF had invaded the apartment where you lived." He looked at me with sad, worried eyes.

"Wait.. GMF?" I asked. I had never heard of that.

He nodded. "The Global Makers Forces." He looked annoyed mentioning their name. "They're like, Global Counselings enemies. They fool everyone to thinking that we're the bad ones, and they're the good ones" he continued.

I was shocked. Why hadn't anyone told me this? Of course, I hadn't been here for long, but they could've told me either way.

"Oh my God! Zayn and Niall! Where are they?" I panicked, running out the bedroom door. Harry grabbed my hand.

"Wait, Violet!" I ripped my hand off of Harrys. I had to check on Zayn and Niall. I had to know if they were okay.

I ran out in the hallway and to Nialls apartment. The door was open, which concerned me. Why would the door be open? Zayn was smarter than that, I knew that for a fact. He wouldn't just leave the door open.

I stepped into his apartment. The pillows were thrown on the floor, and there were broken pieces of glass on the floor. But that could've been Niall though, the messy boy he is, I did not know that. I was still sceptical.

The door to Nialls room was closed. Maybe there yet was hope. I slammed the door open.

"Niall? Zayn?"

The room was completely dark, except the light that was coming from the livingroom. Suddenly I heard crying. I turned on the lightswitch, to reveal Zayn sitting on the floor. Sobbing.

"Zayn.." I went over to him and sat down on my knees. He looked devastated. "Zayn, what happened?"

"They.." He could hardly speak, being choked by his tears. I started to get worried about what he was going to tell me. Finally he spoke.

"They took Niall, Violet."
