My eyes opened narrowed to a bright light. Everything was blurry, I could only see some colours. Mostly blue. And white. Very vivid. It was almost so vivid that it hurt. I whined as I blinked multiple times to try and see better, and I gradually did, but the visions were no less confusing. There were blue walls. A light blue colour that reminded me of a certain vacation me and my family went on a long time ago. Then there were white curtains, and a - a coat? Yeah, there was a bright white coat hanging on a wooden dressboy. It had no owner. At least it was looking rather lonely in that moment.
My heart beat felt different, like I had been running for ages without stop while sleeping for a hundred years. Thump - thump - thump - thumpthumpthump - thump -thump. And so on it went. It stressed me out, even more than my surroundings.
Where was I? I couldn't really remember anything from before. I just remembered Harry's eyes. Harry's bloodshot eyes, with a certain look of anxiety in them. I had never seen him really anxious. It was a vivid image in my mind, and it played over and over again.
Apparently my limbs were tied up. I had discovered it when I had tried to move my feet because they felt awfully pricking. Probably sleeping. Brown leather fetters were around my ankles and wrists. My immediate reaction was to twist and twirl around in my seat, but to no good of course. It was hopeless. Everything felt hopeless. I was stuck in a blue and white room all alone, and it really started to hit me, and the puzzle pieces were put together neatly.
I was in the Global Makers building.
My pulse went faster and faster. Panick felt like my lifesaver, because it was the only thing that could protect me at this moment. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"What the h-ell," I coughed out, and my voice was raspy, it was almost hard to talk. Why did they knock?
The door opened, and a man in a white coat came in with a thoughtful smile on his face. He had a very small quiff in his light-brown hair, making him look stiff and important, and he looked like he was in his 30's. His eyebrows landed perfectly right above his eyes when he noticed me, and his mouth that was of rose petals turned slightly upwards.
"You're awake, I see. About time," he said, and he had a southern accent, I noticed. Texas perhaps. And a really dark voice. Almost like Batman.
I wasn't sure if it was the bright colors or the tiredness that made me ask it. "Are you insane?"
He laughed for a brief moment in a hushed tone, letting every source of happiness that he had leak from his body before he was quickly empty, and looked at me with a wondering look, eyebrows furrowed and lips pursed. "You know, there's a lot of definitions of the word 'insane'. It can mean crazy, it can mean brilliant. Which one were you talking about, Violet?"
