It was saturday morning as I woke up in my new apartment. The sun lit up the room, blinding my eyes as I narrowed them. Then I realized, I had woken up by the doorbell. Rrring.

I jumped out of bed and quickly put on my bathrobe and slippers. I almost tripped over when I ran to open the door.

To my surprise, Zayn was standing there, looking as happy as the day before. I wasn't really a morning person, so this was a new experience to me, because I couldn't possibly be a bloody spoilsport to my one and only friend at this place.

"Violet! Good morning! I guess.." He glanced at me with a questioning look. "Are you sick or something?"

I groaned, annoyed, and yawned whilst I stretched my arms. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Violet. I am a morning person myself, and I thought maybe you were, too" he said and looked gutted as he walked towards his room.

"Zayn, wait!" He turned around, looking rather optimistic. "I'm very sorry, I'm just not used to waking up this early. How about I make us some coffe and pancakes, eh?" I suggested.

He hurried back to my room with a big smile on his face, and I couldn't help but laugh at his adorable reaction. I wasn't grumpy anymore, and the sleep from my eyes had just started to fade away.

"So, have you met any of the others in this apartment?" he asked me, with his coffee cup in his hands.

"Well, no. I haven't really got the time, cause I was out shopping all day yesterday" I laughed.

He chuckled. "I can see that." He pointed down at all the bags that were standing in the hallway.

I glanced over at the big bags that were standing there, feeling a bit embarassed. I didn't want to seem like one of those bag-ladies that went out shopping everyday. Because I wasn't.

"Anyway, you should really meet a good friend of mine that's living right down the hall, if you're not too busy!" I nodded at the nice request. I was really up to meeting some new people around here and make some friends. I needed that.

We went down the hallway after finishing our coffee and breakfast, to a door that said 304. Zayn knocked on the door. No answer. He knocked even harder, making me jump back. Suddenly, a blond haired boy slammed the door open, looking very tired and angry.

"Why the fuck would you wake me up this-" he screamed with an adorable irish accent, until he spotted me. I gave him a weak smile. Suddenly he started to fix his hair, and made a weird-looking face. "Hey" he said, nodding towards me.

"Hello" I answered, feeling the redness light out of my face. Zayn rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Niall, really?" The blond boy, apperantly Niall, gave Zayn a "what?" look and chuckled. "Anyway, this is Violet. Violet, this is.. Niall." The "Niall" came out in a sigh, telling me that he was kind of embarassed over him.

We shook hands, and he invited us in to his room. A strong smell of cologne hit me as I walked in. The room was very messy. Clothes were lying on the floor, and loads of food-bags were standing on the kitchen table. "Nandos" were on every single one.

"So, Zaynie. Is she someone.. Special?" Niall nearly whispered and pointed at me like an idiot, because I could obviously see him. Zayn waved him away.

"Violet just moved in down the hall" Zayn said, and smiled at me. Niall were laughing from the kitchen.

"Oh, I thought you finally had found yourself a proper girl, but I'm guessing that's never gonna happen." He bursted out in laughter, and I could tell Zayn was getting really annoyed.

"Let's go" he whispered to me. We started to near the door, when Niall suddenly stopped laughing.

"No, wait! Don't go now, you've just arrived." He sounded somewhat sad as he spoke. I kind of felt sorry for him.

"Well, I'm starting to think that it was a very bad decision bringing Violet here, so we better go" Zayn said and went out the door, but I stayed. Niall looked at me with a surprised look. He gave me a soft smile, letting me see how sweet he really could be. He was indeed very attractive.

Zayn had not come back yet, and it didn't look like he would either. I stared at Niall, whilst he cleaned up the mess. "I'm very sorry for this mess here, Violet. I'm a proper messy boy" he said and laughed.

"No, that's okay. I don't mind. I'm actually used to it" I said, feeling an ease over me as I talked to him. The words kind of just popped out of my mouth before I even thought them over.

"Well, that's good! Don't wanna screw up my chance with you on the first day." He glanced up at me, realizing what he just said. "Uhm, I meant like.. Chance to be your friend!" He lightly ruffed his hair in embarassment.

I giggled, which made him smile and be the happy, energetic Niall he was 1 minute ago. "You want to watch a movie or something? I could maybe order some food if you're hungry, and I've got a stack of movies in the drawer under the TV!"

He was so adorable and dorky, I just had to laugh at him. "I would like that" I said and smiled at him. Then we picket out a movie, ordered some nandos obviously and watched it together, and I actually really enjoyed spending time with this goof of a boy that had just become my new friend.
