Standing in front of the Global Makers building wasn't scary. It wasn't creepy. It wasn't intimadating. It was horrifying, horrendos and simply traumatising. Nothing that I had ever found frightening could compete with this. You got this feeling of being trapped without even standing inside the building. You didn't know if you were mesmerized by it or terrified. Maybe you were a little bit of both, but the fact that it was as dangerous as something radioactive was still there nonetheless. You couldn't touch it or be near it without putting yourself in a certain risk that few people were willing to take. We were. We were crazy enough to take it. Maybe we shouldn't've done it, but if we never did, who would?

I think all of us were extremely intimidated by the area. Harry and Liam were standing there with their mouths wide open, just staring blankly at the building in front of them. We had managed to sneak past the guards, whilst Zayn pretended to be a smugler working for the Global Makers. He had said that he had lost the deliveries in the woods and they had to come look with him. Of course he had to pay for it and sacrifice himself for the team. We didn't think they would go as far as capturing him and taking him to God knows where, but apparently they did when they didn't find any of the secret deliveries that he was supposed to smugle in. Fabio had told us all about their secret smugling society luckily, and only members of the Global Makers knew about it. That's when he told us he used to be a member of the Global Makers. It came as a shock to me, but not to Harry. He just said; "I figured." And that was it.

We were now standing behind some trees not too far away from the door to the Global Makers building.

"So what now?" Liam asked angrily. "You managed to get Zayn into the same mess as Niall, way to go guys!" He said and clapped his hands together sarcastically.

Harry sighed. "Will you calm down? You were in on it too. We got this far, and we will get both Zayn and Niall out of there, okay?"

"Yeah, you say that now but let's see what a big guy you are when you're facing the real power of the GMF."

"I can face whatever power there is without even blinking, Liam," Harry hissed and moved close to Liam, standing a few inches from his face. "I can, and I will. I don't know if I'll succeed in my attempt, but at least I'm trying and not giving up."

Liam scowled at Harry and fisted his hands. "Easy now, Harry. We don't want me hitting you again now, do we?"

"You bloody-"

"Shut up!"

They turned their faces to me.

"I'm sick of this crap from you guys! What are you, five? I expected more from you, Liam. I honestly did. And now you two got us in this mess so it's your job to get us out of it! If you can't do that, then I'm going alone," I whispered loudly, wanting to scream as loud as I could, but I knew I couldn't.

Liam furrowed his eyebrows at me. "What about Harry? Why didn't you say anything to him?"

I sighed. "I did. I spoke for the both of you. Besides, I expected this from Harry anyway. It's just the way he is. But you, you're not like this. You're better."

Now Harry was offended too. "Gee, thanks, Violet! Thank you for pointing out your love and affection to me, I really needed that now."

A loud screech all of a sudden screamed in my ears. I instantly covered them with my hands, seeing that Harry and Liam did the same. A bright light showed over us, looking like it came from the sky. We bowed down on our knees. My heart was beating rapidly fast. I was kind of far away from Harry, and it made me more scared than I normally would be. My eyes were narrowed, a strong wind suddenly hitting my face and the strong light blinding my eyes. I could hardly see anything. All I saw was the light and what looked like a helicopter on top of the Global Makers building. The loud sound of it was thumping in my ears. I heard Harry's voice yelling my name vaguely. He and Liam were hiding behind a bush, whilst I wasn't hiding anywhere. There was no place to hide.

"Violet!" Harry yelled once again. He was waving for me to come over to them. I shook my head. I didn't dare to. It was too far away. What if I got caught? What if the GMF took me where Zayn and Niall were? There were so many things that could happen, and I wasn't willing to take the chance. Looking around for a place I could get away from the light on, I noticed a large stone. It wasn't right next to me, but it was closer than Harry and Liam were. So, I took the chance.

I looked back at Harry as I did, seeing him give me a slow nod, concern in his eyes. Swallowing, I walked further. The path was wet and slippery, and I was afraid I might fall. Luckily I got there safely without being caught. I looked at Harry and Liam to see that they slowly calmed down when they knew I was safe. The loud thumps started to fade, lingering a bit in my ears. Suddenly it was all gone, and we couldn't hear much.

"So did they do it?"

A man's voice was heard, and I looked past the stone to see two guards walking next to the building. They had probably gotten new guards.

"Yeah, I think so. They've got a new method. It's this syrum that they insert in the eye. It makes them obey everything the leaders tell them to do, and they're basically oblivious to what's happening around them. All they pay attention to is the leaders. They're talking about taking it one step further, and you know what that means."

"Wow. They've really approved, haven't they?"

"Yeah. About time some shit went down. It's been getting boring around here."

Looking at Harry and Liam in fear, they caught my eye and sighed, shaking their heads in despair. It was really serious. They could've done it to Niall and Zayn already. Then it would be too late. They wouldn't be able to recognize us or pay any attention to us if we got in. If that happened, we would probably go down with Niall's and Zayn's grave.

The guards moved slowly away from the area we were standing in, and I thought about moving over to Harry and Liam. I had no idea where we were going from now, and it was intimidating to not know and to just do things. But as soon as I gave Harry a sign that I was gonna do it, I saw that there was no chance that he would let me do that.

But he wasn't in charge.

I looked around me to see if there was any guards there. None. Harry and Liam noticed me and shook their heads and waved with their arms, but frankly, I didn't care. With quick, careful steps I hurried over to them down on my hunches, not looking forward to facing Liam and Harry's yelling. Not that I was afraid of them, but the guards could hear them, and that wouldn't really do any good.

Finally I got to their hiding spot, breathing out relieved as I got there. Harry on the other hand wasn't that pleased.

"What the hell is wrong with you? You could've been caught! You, you could've been killed, Violet, is that what you want?" He whispered loudly in frustation.

Liam was flamed up too, speaking a bit more calm. "Yes, don't you know how dangerous these people are? You need to be more careful, Vi."

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Relax, geez. I'm fine, aren't I? It's not like I was safe over there all alone either."

Harry seemed to ease up, finally understanding my situation. He nodded and quickly pulled me in for a hug. I nuzzled my head into his neck as he kissed my head.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I was just so afraid. I mean, these people are insane, they are just completely-"

"I know. It's fine," I whispered back and kissed his cheek as I pulled away. "So what do we do now?"

Liam shrugged. "I honestly don't know. What those guards said wasn't really good news for us, or for anyone. Got anything, Harry?"

He exhaled deeply and looked down. "I say we find a place to sleep till tomorrow and then we figure out something."

Looking at Liam to see what he was thinking, I nodded, him nodding as well. It was a risky plan that could get us in more danger than we could imagine, but it was a risk we were willing to take. We were willing to take it for Niall, for the community, for us and for the world.

We were willing to risk our lives for them.
