It was thursday, and I was on my way to work. I had a bad feeling about it all. It was the first day after my outburst and I had no idea how people would react or what they would say about me behind my back, or even to me. Especially Luna.
I shuddered at the thought of her. She was like, the evil she-devil with an evil bitch squad.
In high school again, are we?
As I was on my way to my office, I noticed that Harry was in fact sitting at his desk. I was happy to see that he wasn't out and about today too. He didn't look up from his work. I didn't know if it was because he was so caught up in his work that he didn't notice me, or if he was just ignoring me. If he was ignoring me, I would understand because I was secretly trying to ignore him too.
I could hear whispering through the halls as I tried to focus on my work. Some were laughing, some were staring and some were just casually throwing a glare now and then. I groaned and narrowed my eyes at the ones who were gazing me. It was hella annoying.
Finally it was lunch time, and I had in fact managed to finish my work for the day. Somehow I worked better with the whispering and the staring. I had no idea why.
For some reason, the cafeteria was full-loaded, and all the seats were taken. Usually there were only a few people sitting there, but today almost every single chair was taken. I guess they expected me to have a big outburst again, something I wasn't. I really just wanted to forget the horrendous incident from the day before.
I decided to just buy something from the automat and eat in my office. It was quite peaceful actually. No wonder, everyone was sitting in the cafeteria.
Suddenly, a brown-haired girl, also known as the evil she-devil, stepped into my office with Michael and Richard, also known as the evil bitch squad, on both of her sides. I swallowed my food and stared at them.
"What?" I asked.
She narrowed her eyes at me. "You know, you're quite the celebrity in the cafeteria. Everyone's talking about you."
I smiled sarcastically. "How great! I assume you want my autograph then?"
I heard a chuckle from somewhere in the halls. Who it was, I didn't know. I thought everyone was in the cafeteria, but apparently not.
Luna quickly looked behind her to see who it came from, with no luck. She looked really angry, like she was going to kill someone anytime soon.
Her eyes went back to me. "Trying to be funny, huh? Well, guess what. You're not as funny as you think. And that little stunt of yours in the cafeteria yesterday was so childish. You even got someone to film it all, geeze."
I furrowed my eyebrows. "You think I wanted people to film that? Oh please, I didn't even know who it was! Besides, I was just defending a friend. What's so childish about that, if I may ask?"
She smiled devilishly. "A friend? More like a lover if you ask me."
I choked the food in my throat and put down my bagel.
"What?"
"Yeah, you're practically drooling all over him. I heard he's a womanizer anyway. You're probably not gonna be his first little-"
"Enough!" I shouted. "He's not a womanizer, alright? And you don't know anything about him, so why don't you just take your bitchy little squad with you and get the hell out of my office."
She seemed taken aback by what I just said, and snorted before she turned on her heel with Michael and Richard faithfully following her. I felt a sense of confidence coming upon me. It felt good to just let it all out sometimes.
Hopefully no one filmed it this time.
A smiling Harry all of the sudden came into my office, leaning against the doorframe just smirking at me.
"You know, you're quite the sassy one when you wanna be" he said.
I smirked. "Am not."
"Are too."
"Am not."
"Are too!"
We both laughed as he slowly sat down in the chair in front of me. He looked somewhat distraught and uncomfortable.
"Are you mad at me?" He asked.
I sighed. "I guess I'm not. I'm not really one to hold a grudge on people for a long time. Never was."
He smiled and nodded, looking down at my papers. I had stacked them in order and organized them with different colours. For example; Vitamin B was red, Vitamin C was orange, Vitamin E was green, and the list went on. This week was vitamin-week, as weird as that may sound. It was all about vitamins, something I quite liked since vitamins was my specialty.
"Hey, we're all gathering at Zayn's place later to talk about this whole Niall thing. You wanna join?" He asked with a hopeful grin.
I smiled. "Yeah, sure, that would be nice."
He nodded and smiled before he stood up from the red, fancy office chair.
"I'll see you later then, babe."
I blushed at what he had just called me. He noticed and chuckled, before he went out the door, hopefully away from my office because my face was practically burning.
