"You have to stop shaking," Harry said, looking at me with serious eyes, slightly furrowed eyebrows in concentration.

I sighed and wiped away the sweat away from my forehead. "I'm sorry, I'll try."

He ran his fingers through his hair and nodded, motioning for me to try and shoot again. I held the gun firmly in my hands and aimed for the can standing at the table a few meters away from me. My hands were shaking uncontrollably, which was so annoying because it made me miss every single shot.

Once again, I missed. I missed the can that was standing three freaking meters from me. I would probably hit it if my hands weren't shaking so bad. Harry sighed next to me and looked down.

"I'm sorry, alright? I'm not used to shooting.. Stuff!" I said, waving with my hands in frustration.

He looked up at me and stared at me for a while, before he walked over to me.

"I'll show you."

He went behind me and held around my arms to the point where he reached the gun. His arms were so big that it wasn't even hard for him at all. I turned to aim at the can again, feeling my heartbeat going faster and faster by Harry's proximity. His face moved to right above my shoulder, and his breath moved slowly into my ear.

"Take a deep breath," he whispered whilst holding onto my hands firmly, me holding the gun.

I did as he said and inhaled slowly, then exhaled. It felt relaxing for a moment.

"Don't think too much. That's your problem. You worry too much about everything. The key is to not think and just do it. Do it like it doesn't matter. Do it like you could go on for ever. Like it's your purpose. To shoot," he continued firmly into my ear.

I nodded along with his words and aimed for the can, narrowing my eyes. Then, without thinking, I pulled the trigger. Pling. The can fell on the floor as soon as I had shot firmly. I felt excitement inside of me, and pride for finally hitting the can.

Harry stepped away from me and took the gun from me and smiled. "And that, my dear Violet, is exactly what you're not gonna think when you're aiming at someone."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "What?"

He smirked and looked down. "You see, it's so much easier to just shut off your feelings and shoot. But that's not humanity, Violet. You can't forget that. Always have humanity. It's the only thing that'll keep you down on this earth. Besides gravity, of course."

I gulped by his words and realized he was right. And I didn't even bother two seconds ago. I did exactly as he said without even second guessing it. How did I get here? Where was I even? Where did Violet go?

"Violet, promise me you'll never think like that, okay? You have to. I was worried when I saw that you didn't even second guess what I told you, you just went with it straight away. But remember to be critical, and listen to your heart," he continued and went over to me.

He put his hand on my heart. My breath hitched a bit by his touch, and warmth spread throughout my body.

"Always listen to your heart. Do what's right in your heart. Not someone else's heart, but yours. Only yours."

I gazed him in awe while he spoke, and my heart was beating so loud I was afraid he might hear it, or feel it. Maybe he did. Maybe his heart was beating the same way as mine. Beating beautifully in sync with mine, following every beat. Every breath that I took, and every move it made, it followed. Followed my heart to the point where both of our hearts were the same. Our hearts were one. We were one. Symbiotically. Craving each other, depending on each other to survive. That was what I wanted.
