"Tell me."
I shook my head. "No."
"Tell me!" He yelled.
I looked at him. His eyes were furious and disappointed.
"It wasn't anything important, alright?" I tried and sighed.
He stepped closer to me. My breath hitched as he carefully and slowly pushed me into the wall with his own body. His eyes were two inches away from my face.
"Tell me what Fabio said to you about me."
His voice was demanding and it quite scared me. I had never seen him in such a state before. He noticed the fright in my eyes and sighed.
"Violet, you know I hate doing this, right?"
I nodded slowly, looking down at my feet. He took my hands in his. I flinched at first, but gave them to him.
"Please just.. Tell me what Fabio said about me."
I sighed and looked up at him, him a lot taller than me. "He-he said you were a womanizer. He said that you had broken a lot of hearts and that I should be careful."
He gritted his teeth and fisted, letting go of my hands, but I could tell he was trying his best to calm down, exhaling and inhaling slowly. "You could've talked to me about it."
My eyes went down again. I bit my lip. "I know. I'm sorry."
I felt like a little girl that had just gotten yelled at for stealing candy from her older brother.
He sighed. "It's fine. As long as you don't believe it. Because you don't, right?"
I looked away, not knowing what to answer. I knew my answer wouldn't please him at all, so I decided to remain silent.
"Right?" He asked once again in a sad tone, before he stepped away from me and started to walk to the kitchen.
He looked so gutted. I felt horrible.
"I want to believe you, Harry. I really do" I said as he sat down on the island.
"Then do! Trust me!" He yelled and turned around to face me.
I fiddled with my sleeves. "It's not that simple."
"Oh, it's not? And why is that, huh?"
His voice had changed from before, and I really wanted the Harry I ate frozen yoghurt and had a stomach ache with back.
"It just isn't" I answered back, nervous.
I knew where this was going, and I didn't like it.
He furrowed his eyebrows. "So it's easier to trust an old man who you have barely talked to rather than your friend?"
He chuckled and shook his head. "I really don't understand you, Violet. You're a tough one to cope with."
His words cut like knives, and I could feel the blood dripping down my body. Tears were pouring down my eyes as I glanced up at him.
"Then tell me to leave, Harry, it's not that hard! Tell me to walk out that goddamn door and completely disappear, and you'll never see me again. Not that hard now, is it?"
I felt like I had had this speech so many times before, but I realized it was only my thoughts. They had stayed there for so many years now, and finally letting them out felt good, yet every single word tore me apart until I were a thousand pieces of glass on the floor, and nobody were able to pick them up.
"Violet" Harry uttered and walked closer to me.
I quickly turned around and ran outside, not really knowing where to go since I was at Harry's place. I dialed Liam's phone number on my phone, getting it wrong a few times because my tears covered my eyes.
