"Violet, hey!" Zayn opened the door with a big smile. I nodded towards him and smiled. He looked over at Liam.
"You must be Liam." He shook his hand and gave him a friendly smile.
"Yes, that's me! Nice to meet you, Zayn" Liam said and grinned. He loved meeting new people. Especially if they were as polite as Zayn was.
"Come on in, I'll make us some tea."
Zayn led the way in to his apartment. A sweet smell of chocolate hit me as I walked into his livingroom. His livingroom was very clean, and not messy at all, unlike Nialls.
Niall.
My heart skipped a beat at the thought of him. The worst part was not knowing. Not knowing what happened to him or where they took him. If only we knew that he was okay. If only..
"Oh, it smells lovely in here!" Liam smiled as he walked into the apartment, gazing.
Zayn smirked and went into the kitchen, taking out something that looked like a chocolate cake from the oven. I slightly licked my mouth.
"I knew that you guys would be here soon, so I thought I'd make a cake! Just to give Liam a kind welcome here" he said as he put a towel over the cake to keep it warm. I looked over at Liam and gave him a "what did I tell you?"-look. He smiled and looked over at Zayn.
"You really didn't have to do that for me" Liam said looking down, humble.
He always did that whenever someone did something for him. Even on his birthday, when his mother had made him a cake on his 15th birthday, he said that she didn't have to do it and that he could've just done it himself. I laughed at him. It was adorable. At least better than being arrogant.
"No, it's totally fine. I actually enjoy baking so it's no big deal, really!" Zayn answered politely.
I grinned at him as he looked at me. He was being so polite and kind to him. What could possibly be so wrong about Harry that made Zayn so vicious against him? Not that I really knew Harry that well, but he seemed very sweet to me the time that we spent together. He wasn't exactly an angel to Zayn either when he was around. Perhaps I was so captured by his emerald green eyes and curly locks that I didn't notice the bad things Zayn saw.
Zayn put three plates and three glasses on the table, together with the cake he made. It looked absolutely delicious, and I couldn't wait to set my teeth in it. Chocolate was absolutely my favorite type of cake. Liam laughed at me, noticing that I was eyeing the cake, almost drooling. He knew I loved chocolate cake.
"So, have you met Harry yet?" Zayn said as he sat down with us at the table, looking towards Liam. He almost cringed at the name.
"Uhm, no I haven't. We didn't know where he lived, so we decided to just meet up with you first. Violet sent him a text a few minutes ago to ask him actually. Has he answered it by the way?" Liam looked over at me with furrowed eyebrows.
I shrugged my shoulders and grabbed my phone from my pocket. 1 new message. It was from Harry.
"Oh, I completely forgot telling you, sorry! The adress is 1090 Granyards road. See you!"
"Yeah, I just got his adress so we can go there after we finished eating!" I told him, excited to see Harrys house. I wondered if it was messy or clean. That actually kind of showed what type of boy he was. Liam smiled and nodded at my answer, taking a sip of his tea.
"I can't wait to start planning! With the four of us now, it's gonna go so well! And Niall will be okay. I can feel it" Zayn said optimistically.
We smiled and nodded, our mouths stuffed with cake. Such children.
When we were done eating, we said goodbye to Zayn, thanking him for the lovely cake, and got ready to go to Harry's. Neither of us had a car here, so we had to take the bus, but that was totally fine with both of us. We were used to it, because back home we lived far apart from each other, so we had to take bus the times that our parents couldn't drive us, which was a lot of times.
We sat on the bus, talking about Harry. Well, I talked about Harry. I made it pretty clear to Liam before that I was into him, so Liam let me talk about him all I wanted. It wasn't embarassing or anything. He was my best friend, why would it be embarassing?
"Here it is" Liam said as we neared a long, green road with houses on each side. White houses, brown houses and grey houses with beautiful gardens. It looked like a very wealthy area. Harry did have a very well-payed job, so no wonder. I did too, but I hadn't worked there long enough to start buying my own house and all that stuff.
We had to walk a short distance to come to Harry's house, just a few meters. We arrived to this white, big house with a garden filled with beautiful flowers, and even a little pond.
"Wow, it's beautiful here!" I said looking at Liam, who was gazing the place and nodding. It was indeed very beautiful. At the entrance there was one column on each side of the door, both white. I rang the doorbell. A loud tone was coming from the inside. Almost like a little melody.
A serious Harry met us as he opened the door. His eyebrows were furrowed, and his eyes had a mixture of fright and anger in them.
"Violet" he began. "I think you should come inside." His voice was dark and gloomy. Not the kind I was used to. I looked over at Liam as Harry had walked inside, shrugging my shoulders, and walked in behind Harry. Liam followed. Concern was starting to build inside of me. What if something had happened to Niall?
Harry was pacing the floor nervously and scratching his head. Liam and I were standing next to the couch, wondering if we should sit down or stand.
"You two should probably sit down for this" he said and looked at us. We sat down in the couch, as Harry sat in the chair facing us. His hands were intertwined, and his feet were stomping up and down fastly. He was so fidgety.
I could spot high heels and womens clothes lying on the floor from what I figured was Harry's bedroom. A weak smell of sweet, women's perfume was floating in the air. Did Harry have a girlfriend?
Of course he does, Violet. I mean, look at him.
I looked at Harry with a worried face. "Harry, what's wrong?"
His eyes were sad as he spoke. "I just talked to Fabio."
"And?" I was starting to get impatient. Harry was taking rather long to tell us what he was gonna say.
"He said that the GMF have moved your friend to another country. He didn't know where they moved him yet, but he was gonna try as hard as he possibly could to try and figure out" he said, letting out a sigh of disappointment.
I looked down, feeling empty inside. Now what? We didn't have a clue where he was sent off to, and we couldn't save him now. It was hopeless.
"We have to tell Zayn" I said.
It was the first thing to cross my mind. I knew that Zayn would be devastated. He was so happy because our plan was going well. But he had to know. Immediately.
