Death Wish

(Scourge pov:) Its time to fight. I am done sitting around. I get up and go to Sunky who has been eating cereal. I crouch down to his height.

'Its time, I need to fight Exe. He is probably causing harm to my friends right now and it would be better off for Fleetway if he was gone. Stay safe Sunky..'

I turn to walk off but Sunky grabs my hand and looks at me with a pleading face.

'Sunky...' He starts writing and once done it says.
'I know I can't convince you to not go but at least let me go with you.'
'Are you sure that is the best decision?' He writes again.
'You said yourself, I won't be alone again. You wouldn't lie would you?'
Well...I can't lie about that....its like a promise to me.

'Fine...you can go with me.' I pick him up softly as he tightly holds his notebook and place him on my shoulder.
'Just ..when we get there..be careful. Okay? I'll look after you but try to be a bit alert.'
'Alright Scourge.'

Thinking for a minute, I consider the fact that if we did walk to Exe's place then it would take a while, even with my speed due to now having to be careful with Sunky.

Even if he didn't help last time...he might help now.

'X, get your lanky ass here right now.' Sunky looks at me with confusion, there is silence. No flash of light. No sound of his appearance. Nothing.

So I try again, this time with more sharpness in my voice.

'X  get here right fucking now!' Still silence, Sunky still looks at me with confusion. I decide to change my strategy.
'Oh couldn't the amazing, powerful, Lord X help me out here?' Sunky and I have a moment of silence before I shout 'X I WILL FU-' I realize what I was about to say and stop myself. I can't say that infront of Sunky.

(Meanwhile with X:) 'No. No. That is enough Majin.'
'Oh but please~ stay! We were finally starting to have fun!' Majin's face was closer than normal and his expression gave a hint of his true intention.
'...I'm not quite in the mood for being kissed...' After receiving a blush from Majin, he sighs and moves back slightly.
'Well..at least let me give you a goodbye kiss-' Not giving him the chance, I teleport to Scourge.

(Scourge Pov:) After standing around and talking to Sunky, we see a bright red flash and soon the sight of the  lanky hedgehog.
'Where the fuck have you been, X?!'
'Dealing with certain events-'
'Bullshit! I needed you-'
'Who is this?' X says as he picks up Sunky by the top of his head who shakes a bit from discomfort.

'His name is Sunky.'
'What kind of name is Sunky?' Sunky bops his tongue out to annoy X.
'What kind of name is Lord X?' I say with a smirk, Sunky makes multiple "mhm" noises so I assume he found it funny. He begins writing and shows the book to X, from his face of annoyance I can tell X doesn't like what was written. Soon Sunky showed me and I laughed, it said.
'If you are a Lord, what are you lord of? Being tall?'

During my laughter I notice X seems more mad so I decide to stop. If I want his help then I need him on my side.

'Hey X...can I- We have some help?' X sighs. 'Is the only reason you call me so you can use me?' Don't make me feel guilty now. 'X, when this is over I call you over to my home and... I dunno maybe I'll get you a gift as a sign of my.. Appreciation.' I hope that came out half decent.

(X Pov:) He did not perform that before in his head. Ah well...maybe he's honest.

After a sigh, I drop Sunky from my hand and Scourge just barely catches him. 'Hey careful with him!'
'Why? Is he your son all of a sudden? He doesn't quite look like you or Manic-'
'Do not say his name.' Scourge's voice being particularly cold when he said that.

'Well..did you adopt this ...'Sunky' then?' Sunky looks at Scourge with a glint of hope in his eyes. Scourge tries to avoid eye contact with the little hedgehog.

(Scourge Pov:) Why did he have to give me this question. It would be easier if I knew Manic was alive or not but..I don't.

'He'd be better off with Mephiles and Silver then with me...' (Well ya see Scourge, Silver-)

Sunky looks sad. 'But..for now he is my Son.' After hearing that, Sunky gives me a tight hug and I hug back softly while patting his back. After spotting a smile on X's face, I place Sunky back on my shoulder.

'So can you bring us there, X?'
'Fine...' X walks up to us and places a hand on both of us, I look up at Sunky in case he falls which luckily doesn't happen. After a red flash, we appear outside Exe's Sanctum.

'Thanks X, We owe you one.' Carefully I take Sunky off my shoulder and hand him to X.
'Take care of him.'
'Why me? He is your son!'
'Your son now.' I run into the Sanctum  and slow down once I hear a sound.

It sounded like it came from the kitchen, checking my pockets I realize I have my spare knife inside. I have to be quick, I must be quicker than him if he left that race from before. Just need to be quiet and fast. Gotta go fast.

I notice him at the fridge full of hearts and I sneak towards him. He seems too distracted by what heart to choose so I stab the knife deep  into...

Nothing?

I feel myself being grabbed from behind. Before I can strike them, I get pinned against a wall, drop the knife and see Exe who has one hand around my neck while the other is free.

I look to where I saw him before and see it fade to dust. It was an illusion! Damnit!

'You really do have a death wish don't you, Scourge?' He mockingly pats my head.
'You can talk. You have a relationship with my brother and turn him into a monster. You kidnap him. You hurt make him so ...insane.. That he almost ripped out Manic's heart!' As I said this, Exe's smile had only been growing. 'You even made him kill Tails!' Exe seems to have momentary  shock as he is speechless. 'Yea! I'm not dumb! The way he hurt Manic was more or less the way I found Tails' corpse.' Part of me feels more angry for having to remember what Pinky did after that.

Exe seems to be somewhat impressed. He starts to stroke my cheek which makes me growl in anger.
'I must say I am impressed. But know Fleetway killed Tails all by his own. Just like how he will hurt Manic-' In anger I bite down on Exe's hand that was stroking me and dig my nails into the hand he was pinning me with.

He drops me on the floor  and I spin to the other side of the room.
'You don't threaten Manic and get away with it. '
'You don't harm me and live.'
'But that's where you're wrong. If you ever killed me, Fleet would be livid. I'm sure you know that so stop the act and-' In a blink, he was choking me.

'You have some nerve, welp.'
'Well you had some to leave that race-'
'The race where your life was on the line...I was only ever interested in Fleetway. You thought I would really race? Fool.'

Exe's nails dig into my throat and I groan in pain. 'Those sounds of anguish. How exciting-'
'Fuck off you kinky bitch!' I headbutt him hard and his nose starts to bleed from the pain. Considering the chances, I run out the kitchen. Noticing the balcony, I jump from it and see Sunky and X.

'Just need to get there and-'
'Scourge~'  While running, I turn my head and see Exe quickly gaining speed. Pushing as hard as I can, I speed up and shout.

'X GET READY!' X and Sunky turn to look at me. Sunky seeming very excited untill he and X see I am being chased. Soon enough, I spin into a ball to speed up and get to Sunky and X.

'YOU CANNOT ESCAPE!' Exe screams as with another red flash, we are gone. This time, X took us to the hospital.

Infront of me I see Manic in a hospital bed, I smile and feel better just knowing he is alive. Sunky gets free of X's hold and sits next to Manic. We don't say a word to each other but having each others presence is enough to both momentarily calm us down. I did not know what was upsetting Manic untill he told me to look to my side.

When I look to my side, I see Fleetway next to another bed. When I walk over to him, I see who he was looking at.

Silver, covered in blood.
'What the fuck happened?!' I hear Mephiles' answer from behind me as he walks through a door with a doctor. 'Infinite.'
