***Alex's POV***
I woke up in the morning in a horrible mood. Not like bad, but depressed. I guess that's just what happens from time to time... I went downstairs and saw Julian with a suitcase of stuff. I guess he really is leaving. I ignored him and went to the kitchen to see Jayy making pancakes.
"Hey, Jayy," I said, pulling myself onto the counter.
"What's up?" he asked.
"Nothin'," I said with a shrug.
"I heard about what happened with Julian... Are you okay?" he asked.
"No, but I'll manage," I said honestly.
"How do you feel?"
"Tired..."
"Go back to sleep?" he suggested.
"I don't want to. When is Julian leaving?"
"Any minute now. Jinxx had to get something from upstairs and then their leaving," he explained.
"I can't believe he tried to stab me..." I said, shaking my head.
"Some people just aren't as they seem," he sighed.
"Mornin', Alex," Jinxx said, kissing my head.
"Hey, dad."
"I'm takin' Julian to the orphanage now. Wanna come?" he asked, putting his jacket on.
"Yeah, sure," I said, getting off of the counter.
I dragged myself upstairs, got my coat and shoes, and went back downstairs. We got in the car and turned on the radio. We started listening to the rock station. KISS came on, so we blasted it and Jinxx began singing along while me and Julian sat there awkwardly. I hugged my knees and just stared out the window, at all the buildings passing by. I went into my pocket and pulled out my phone. I saw I had a message. I opened it and it was from little Jake.
Hey, you doing okay? ~Jake
Um, yes. Why are you texting me? ~Alex
Because you hurt yourself and you were bleeding so much and Julian went completely psycho... ~Jake
Jake, lets face it. You don't care at all. ~Alex
No, really, I do. Oh, and I lied. My name really isn't Jake. It's what everybody thinks it is, but I guess I can tell you. My name is Kayden. ~Jake
Why do people call you Jake? ~Alex
I want to hide myself from my past.~Jake/Kayden
Why? ~Alex
Because my sister tried to kill me. She was on the news about it and everything and I didn't want to be reminded of it so my parents agreed to let me hide my name a little.~Jake/Kayden
