Nakakailang block pa lang ng layo si Sam mula sa bahay ni Sarah ng bigla itong mag u turn. Hindi pa rin nito na control ang nararamdamang galit.
Nagulat si Sarah ng marinig ang doorbell. Nagtataka man ay hinayaan niyang si Grace na lang ang magbukas ng pinto.
"Kuya Sam, bakit? May nakalimutan ka ba?"
"Si Sarah?" Nagmamadaling tanong ni Sam.
"Anduon pa sa office niya." Nagtatakang tanong ni Grace
"May passport ka?" Biglang tanong uli ni Sam sa Naguguluhang si Grace.
"Meron Kuya, bakit nga?"
'Ihanda mo, yun ding kay Kevin. Pupunta din tayo ng Korea."
"Huh?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong uli ni Grace.
"Basta you get ready. Hindi man tayo makasabay bukas, one thing is for sure, pupunta din tayo kung saan man pupunta ang ate Sarah mo." Nagmamadali ng pumunta ng home office ni Sarah.
Palabas naman na sana si Sarah para tingnan kung sino ang nag doorbell. Nagulat ang dalaga ng makita si Sam. Napaatras ito papasok uli sa home office.
"I love you, when I am not with you , I am thinking of you. I've never been attracted to someone like this before. Just thinking you will be with someone else for a whole week is driving me crazy."
Sarah stared at him, sighed heavily. "Bakit nahihirapan akong maniwala saiyo? Sa dami ng mga babae sa paligid mo? Bakit ako?"
"Bakit ikaw? Yun din ang tanong ko sa sarili ko. All I know is that everytime you are nearby, all I am thinking is to kiss you again and again and again."
She swallowed hard and then again. She opened her mouth, but paused, she doesn't know what to say.
He rubbed his thumbs over her cheekbones and stared down at her, hoping she would see hiis sincerity.
She shut her eyes tightly, as if wanting to believe what he just said. She's been dreaming to hear him say that for 8 years but now why is it hard to believe. Why is she afraid to just follow her heart and tell him how much she loves him.
He did not press, instead continued to hold her gently, his thumbs feathering over her face.
When she looked back at him again, tears swarmed her eyes. "I am afraid to love you and get hurt again."
He cupped her face in his hand, "don't be hon, I promised I am not going to hurt you. Who ever hurt you before is a fool."
Natawa si Sarah. "Kung alam mo lang kung sino ang tinatawag mong fool"
"Kilala ko ba?"
She bit her lip and turned away but he turned her back , his expression fierce. "Who is he? Si Matteo ba?"
She shook her head ruefully, "no."
"Who ever he is, I thank him for not marrying you right away. His lost is my gain."
"How can you be so sure that it is your gain?"
"You said it yourself , you are scared to love me, that means something , doesn't it? All I have to do is prove to you , there is nothing to scare about."
"Ilang linggo ka pa lang kilala ni Kevin, sari sari ng intriga ang kinasasangkutan namin, how much more pag nalaman nilang girlfriend mo din ang kapatid ng nanay ng anak mo? Hindi ba parang nakapa complicated naman yun?"
"You think too much hon, why can we just focused on what we feel?"
"Easy for you to say." Malungkot na lalayo sana si Sarah kay Sam pero hindi siya nito pinakawalan. He lowered his lips to hers, silencing anything else that she thinks she’s going to say.
