Chapter 33 : A new thing ?!?

From what really happened, Lady Everi seemed to notice Marlin going to the path where the balcony was so she intended to follow her in order to talk to her about the previous incident where Marlin was honoured as the hero for saving her sibling. But to her certain surprise , what she encountered that Prince Ethan was already at the scene. They were rather close to talk naturally.

"Are they that close . That's unexpected, well i wanted to say thank you to her . But looks like Prince Ethan came to the place and took my position. Sigh. I should leave perha-

But suddenly someone grabbed her mouth from talking more! With her mouth closed she still raised her head to look at the person who was holding her .

"Shhh", he pointed by putting his own finger in his own mouth in a sly smile.

"P-Prince Mathias???", Everi was extremely shocked. Looks he told her to keep quiet to eavesdrop on them. But why though? A girl and a boy would have nothing but intimate conversations.

Everi was feeling flushed, her face turning red from embarrassment and surprise. She probably feels a bit shocked! She may be sweating slightly, she certainly is feeling warm because of the prince's embrace. She probably feels her heart beating really fast because so many different feelings seem to be flooding her head at once. She's also probably feeling a bit excited, and the warm embrace and close touch certainly isn't making those feelings any better.

"Sorry to be like this but please stay like this for a while. Don't worry i wont do anything...", he seemed nervous as well because he did it on impulse. But forgetting all that he focused on the conversations between Marlin and Ethan.

Even though he let go of his hand from Everi's mouth since she's silent. He still kept her in his embrace because what if she makes a sound by going away from him.  While its Lady Everi who was definitely not okay with the situation going on !

"My mind is struggling quite a bit to make sense of what is going on. My skin feels hot... as though you're hugging me tightly. My heart is beating faster than it should, in an uneven way, like it's about to pound out of my chest. Why is it though...? I like Prince Aiden but here i am beating my heart for someone else and a womaniser at that?!", she thought.

After Marlin and Ethan were done talking . Prince Ethan went away out of nowhere. Miss Marlin and me seemed to be confused as well but Prince Matias let out a smirk from what i saw his face . His face was way closer to mine. Then i told him that they are gone now.

He finally lets go of me . I was finally freed from his embrace.

My body shivers and I blush even more .My body is still feeling warm... there's... a lingering feeling on my skin... and it's making my whole body tingle...

The Prince looks down and sees me , he then stands up and extends his hand-
"I am Prince Matias of the royal family. Nice to meet you. Sorry for the inconvenience i caused." He bowed beforehand while saying that . After raising head, he gave out his hand. He waits for me to shake his hand or curtsy.

My voice is trembling and my face is even redder than before...

"I am lady Everi, your highness. No problem for the inconvenience you caused...", i bowed. I actually ignored the hand shaking part because it was too embarrassing. Bowing is the proper act i can show right now...

I follow, and do a curtsy as well. I keep my eyes locked on yours, trying to maintain eye contact. There's a little part of me that really wants to glance down, but another part of me is keeping me from breaking the stare... Prince Matias is equally handsome as the twins. But he is deemed as an womaniser..

He let out a chuckle saying , " So you think what i did was an inconvenience don't you?"

"Shit... i said whatever i had in my mind . Usually if the royal family does something shitty you shouldn't have said they did something wrong", Everi thought. "But i don't think the prince wont do anything to me..."

"Oh... well, regardless. Why were you eavesdropping on someone, hmm? That isn't very princely of you", I said in a very clear manner. Then I realised that was not my thought rather i said it out from my mouth . The prince heard it very loud and perfectly. I am done. Totally done -

"Pffft hahahhaaa. Oh my god. That was so funny!", he started laughing. I was insulting him and he took it as a fun away . Is he dumb or is he being sarcastic? I have no idea of knowing.

"?"

But he kept on laughing. I stared at him deeply. After he was done he gave a big smile. As soon as you smile ; I blush even more, and a soft little smile appears on my lips and face. It's a small gesture, almost imperceptible smile... but I feel like in this moment, it's conveying more than words ever could. That he was not angry and he agreed with me .

But what was unexpected that he brought his face closer to mine more. He kept looking at me from eyes to my lips . More like scanning. Then what I remember i ran away.

Prince Mathias was standing there confused. He thought, "I move my face closer to her, noticing as she blushes. She's shy. I feel a sense of.. power over her, I guess, because she's so cute when she blushes! But then, before I know it, she starts moving away and runs off. Well, I'd wonder what I did wrong to make her run away from me. I'd like her to talk to me more , not be afraid of me. So I'd try to talk to her and find out what upset her. Maybe I was a bit too forward? Or maybe I said something wrong?"

"The reason i was closer to her because of her scent.. Her scent was intoxicating. Her perfume, her clothes, it was a bit over-powering, but he just couldn't get enough of it. The scent of her hair mixed with her perfume filled his nose and made him feel dizzy, but it was the best kind of dizzy, he couldn't get enough. It was almost as if he was getting high off her scent."

"Lady Everi... was it . I'll remember you!", he laughed while he went back into his room in the royal palace because he was done for the night.

"Ugh that was so embarrassing....", she ran while looking forward. She bumped into Marlin . She was happy and shocked at the same time . Like she wanted to meet her but not that way.

"Umm, you're Lady Everi right? I think we should go to a doctor because i think you're sick since your face is red..."

"Now is not the time ... for her seeing me in this state", she thought. Instead the words i wanted to say to her and be an outcast again she blurted something unexpected.

"Would you like to be my friend?"
