Chapter 50 : Meeting

Marlin was invited into Lady Everi's mansion, and she was met with open arms from Everi and her sibling upon her arrival. Everi and her sibling made Marlin feel immediately welcomed and comfortable, and she was thankful for the hospitality. Everi's invitation was an unexpected kindness, but Marlin appreciated the gesture and was glad to be there. She immediately felt at home in the luxurious and airy mansion. The elegant interior and the warm surroundings made Marlin feel at ease, and she was grateful to Everi for her kindness.

"I don't mean to be nosy, but why did Lady Sasha also joined us?" Everi asked, raising an eyebrow at Marlin. She seems slightly confused about why Sasha would accompany Marlin to her home. Everi seems slightly curious about the situation, but she doesn't want to ask too many questions or make Marlin feel uncomfortable; so she phrases her questions carefully.

"I'm here to see who my innocent best friend befriended with!" Sasha said with a pout ; clearly upset that she was being questioned.

Marlin explained that Sasha was a great friend and a loyal companion, and she joined Marlin to be a source of support and comfort. Everi nodded as Marlin explained this, and she understood the importance of having a loved one by her side.

"Talk politely; she's going to be the future princess soon!" Marlin said sharply, pointing at Everi as she spoke. Sasha looked surprised.

"what?", Sasha looked at Everi.

"...what?", Everi looked at Marlin.

It was a spectacular triangular staring contest going on between them.

Everi began to panic as she was clearly lost for words. "Uhh..." she said nervously, "I'm... not sure I... uhh...." Everi seemed to fumble over her words, completely caught off-guard...

"We haven't dated yet and you're marrying me off?!?"

Sasha then replied, "Yet..... that means there's a chance."

Everi then fumed. "You two friends are really the same. Match made in heaven...! Omg.."

They burst out laughing.

What is the important thing you're gonna say to me?" Marlin asked, sounding concerned. She was curious what Everi had to say to her, and she was feeling nervous about what it might be.

"Has Prince Ethan said anything to you after you regained consciousness...?"

"Umm", Marlin was lost in words what to say.

Sasha bluntly replied, "She got rejected straight in the face"

Everi looked at Marlin surprised, "Oh... well that was expected". Everi thought maybe Prince Ethan didnt want to make her misunderstood the situation that sudden kiss meant he likes her.

Marlin stood up from her chair, "What do you mean... as expected??" She made a weird expression on her face, "Am I that unlikeable?"

"No, thats not what i meant...", Everi stood up from her chair too.

"Oh come on, look at my condition! A guy who I have no have no relationship with ; confessed me to his second day of meeting me ? Isnt that more illogical?", Everi added up. "Youre not the only one who's frustrated here..."

"Oh my . How envious...", Marlin started clapping his hands. "At least you got confessed to..."

"Guys stop!!", Sasha shouted. "At least both of you should feel sorry for me ..."

"What?", Both of them asked together.

Sasha started sobbing, "You guys are busy with your love affairs while I don't even have a guy..?!?"
