Chapter 57 : Protect

Ethan was kissing Marlin intensely when she suddenly pulled away, gasping for air. He was caught off guard but his desire for her only grew.

He  leaned in again, this time kissing with more force, more intensity. Marlin tried to move away, but he held her close, pressing their bodies together and kissing her hard.

"Was I being too much?", Ethan pulled away from the kiss when he looked at Marlin , he was dumbfounded. She made an irresistible expression that caught him off guard. Again.

"She shows this kind of expression only after a kiss..", Ethan looked intently at her . Her flushed cheeks getting more red . While her eyes wavered and she was still breathing.

He leaned in to kiss Marlin again when she pulled away, shocked by his  unrelenting desire to kiss her.

"What's wrong, Lady  Marlin?", Ethan asked . "Don't you want more?" He moved closer, still trying to kiss her, and she continued to pull away, her eyes growing wider with disbelief.

"No, your highness , please stop!" She finally blurted out, still trying to back away. "You still want more?"

"I do. Im sorry but that wasn't close to enough...", Ethan looked serious. "Also didn't you said my highness the whole time. Why your highness all of a sudden...?", he tilted his head.

Marlin looked away in embarrassment.

"Talk about yourself. You did the same ...", Marlin glared.

"I did ?", Ethan looked at her . "When was it?"

"You also called me Marlin many times , have you forgotten. You already became informal with me and started calling me Lady Marlin again ", Marlin then didn't meet his eyes. "Do I really need to remind you?"

She was still embarrassed. "Maybe he will stop now..", she thought. "He will -

"Remind me ...", Ethan replied. "How will you do it?", he asked while holding Marlin's face.

"Umm I -

He leaned in and kissed  Marlin again . She was still receiving the kiss until her eyes suddenly looked down. She noticed her necklace in his pocket and pulled away  from him  with a surprised look on her face.

"Isn't that  mine?" She asked, her eyes still wide with disbelief.

"I forgot I had it," I answered. "That really ruined the mood though...", he thought.

"Lady Marlin. I think we need to talk. Please, just sit down and listen to me." He brought her to a chair and let her sit down.

"Sure but call me just Marlin please...", she requested . She doesn't want to be any formal anymore. Not with him .

"Fine.. but only when we are alone".

Marlin nodded , still embarrassed by his line .Ethan tried to get her to open up by showing her the necklace. He took the necklace in his hand and placed it in Marlin's hands, hoping that if she saw it she would tell him about it.

"Look at this necklace. You remember it? "

Marlin looked at the necklace with a crying expression, "I... I remember this, but what does it have to do with anything? I had lost it ; it was so precious to me..."
