Chapter 36 : Unexpected

Marlin remembers what she knows about the twins, and one particular detail catches her attention. She realizes that Aiden is the only Prince that wore glasses, and the only Prince that wears glasses as well. With this detail in mind, it quickly becomes clear to Marlin that the Prince who grabbed her must indeed have been Aiden, as he is the only one who matches the description.

Marlin bows deeply and gives a deep, flourishing bow, "My Liege. It is a great privilege and honor to finally meet you, Prince Aiden."

Marlin speaks with respect and deference, showing just how much she looks up to the Prince and the Royal Family.

She speaks with respect and humility, as she is truly awestruck by the Prince's presence. Her dialogue is full of reverence and admiration, as she is truly humbled by the Royal Family's power and status and all that it represents.

A wave of confusion and shock washes over Sinca as she attempts to process the fact that it's not Ethan, but Aidden who has grabbed her. She is surprised, confused, and unsure of what to think or how to respond. It is almost an overload of information all at once for her, and she finds herself feeling like she doesn't know how to handle what has just happened.

She tries to act like she had known this all along, but it's clear from the confusion and panic she is feeling that the reality of the situation has just hit her quite hard.

"Sina, he is Prince Ethan's twin brother Prince Aiden. They are identical twins thats why you weren't able to distinguish them. But prince Aiden wears glasses so you can know its him...", Marlin said so while pointing at Prince Aiden.

"Oh i see. I got confused haha....", Sina

Marlin seems to feel that she is being observed or judged by the Prince, and she may even feel like she is being tested in some way - this may explain her nervousness and reluctance at meeting him. She senses the Prince's attention on her. She feels a bit uncomfortable under his gaze, and it is clear that she is being observed and scrutinized.

This makes her feel even more on edge and wary, and this uneasiness and discomfort come through in her body language, which is now less confident and steady. She is not just nervous about meeting the Prince, but she also seems a bit fearful and wary of being under his gaze or observation, and the uncertainty and uneasiness it brings her.

Marlin's thoughts are starting to be dominated by one central question. "Why is the Prince paying so much attention to her?" She can't help but feel like this is a bit weird and strange, and she begins to start wondering if there might be some sort of reason or explanation for this.

Sina's thoughts are surely going to be quite a chaotic mix of confusion, bewilderment and surprise as well as a sense of opportunity and possibility as she tries to figure out how she might be able to manipulate or make use of this situation to her advantage.

Prince Aiden smiled while answering, " Its an honour to meet your acquaintance too, Lady Marlin. And who might this be....?", he asked while looking at Sina.

Marlin smiled awkwardly saying, "She's my friend your highness...its her first time here!"

"A friend i see...", he smiled. He then took Sina's hand and kissed gently on her hand. While Marlin was surprised by the sudden action , Sina blushed hard and made a sly smile which looked ugly.

Sina was feeling proud that he ignored Marlin then kissed her hand . "If his twin likes me then Prince Ethan would definitely fall for me.. he was doing that i guess - what do they say..? Yes! Playing hard to get!", Sina thought.

After some time, the music started playing, so everyone's attention went into the dance. Prince Aiden then spoke, "Ah, I am sorry for taking the ladies time. So i take my leave now...". After that the prince makes his departure.

Now that the Prince is gone, Marlin was feeling a little bit more at ease as she was no longer under the constant attention and observation of the Prince, and the overall tension seems to be reduced a little, though it is still rather tense and there is still a sense of concern regarding the whole situation.

She was feeling a bit more comfortable and less on edge now that the Prince is gone, but they are still wary and cautious and are still trying to make sense of all of this. Sina speaks first, questioning what is going on ?

Before Marlin answer her question ; she ask a question to Sina instead, "How do you know about prince Ethan?"

"Well, I am very pretty and well-respected woman in the king's court . I hope that is important enough for an impressive man like Ethan to take an interest in me and use my connections and status to further my own life and help me progress to greater heights."

"Just what is this dumb girl saying?", Marlin was dumbfounded.

With her comment about how impressive and important she is, we see that she is someone who is very self-important. She thinks she is above everyone else and that she should be given special attention and privileges because of this. She feels that no one could possibly be worthy enough or important enough for her to show them the attention they deserve. She is not a humble person and has no problem using others if it suits her interests.

She is also oblivious of what she is saying. She is so caught up in her own ego and pride that she fails to notice how ridiculous she sounds.

Marlin calls her out on this and asks her just what it is she brings to the thought that would be so appealing to Ethan?

"You dare question me?! Who are you to have the right to question me or ask me to explain myself to you? How dare you talk down to me when you are nothing but a low class peasant. I am someone with status and influence and you should be grateful that I'd even consider deigning to explain myself to you! What a fool you are to speak to me like this!"

Sina becomes very upset and starts shouting loudly. This draws the attention of other nobles, who begin to look over at the disturbance. As sinas gets louder, more and more people look at her, and the nobles begin to talk among themselves and whisper about the scene that is unfolding.

As more and more nobles notice this, their attention continues to shift towards Sina, who only talks louder, getting angrier and more emotional. She begins to draw a lot of attention, with everyone looking at her.

And one person in particular, Sasha, has come over to see what is happening.

Sasha comes over and sees all of this going on. She sees the drama that is unfolding before her and she stops for a moment to take it all in. She walks over to the two and speaks in a calm tone, hoping to diffuse the situation. She tries to get sinas to calm down and relax, and she tries to get her to see reason and to speak more gently.

But she was shocked when she saw Sina's face-

"Why is our maid present in this royal ball?"
