Mikasa's POV

"I feel like we are missing something." I say, chopping the carrots.
"Missing what?" Eren asks.
"That can't be everyone that we invited. There will be only four people there."
"A small wedding isn't bad, is it?"
"No, it just feels like we are missing something."
I scrape the carrots into the pot.
"Let's not think of that for now, and let's think about other things." Eren says.
"Like?" I ask.
"Kids."
That word shocks me, and I accidentally cut my finger with the knife.
"Ow!" I yell, looking at the blood dripping down my finger.
Eren puts his knife down quickly, and makes his way to me.
"Are you ok?" He asks, urgently. I show him my finger. "Eren, it's ok."
I say, "It was an accident."
I suck the blood from my finger and Eren goes off to get a plaster I'm assuming.

When he comes back, he folds it around my finger.
"Thanks." I say, smiling subtly.
After a short silence, Eren speaks, "I will finish the soup."
"Thank you, Eren, but I can do it." I say.
"I didn't give you a choice." He says, nudging me with his elbow.
"Relax. I can do it."
I sigh, and just do as he says. I guess he can try redeem himself, now.

I walk up the spiraling stairs and up to the roof, my favourite spot.
I wrap myself in the blanket and stare at the sky.
I look at my left forefinger and stroke the plaster with my other.
This happened because Eren mentioned having children, but I don't know why I was so shocked because it's inevitable.
Maybe it's because I'm not ready yet, I don't know what it is.

I take a trip to the village to buy things for the wedding.
I'm not even going to try and get a dress.
I'll ask Miranda for help, and I also remember to give an invitation to her.

"Hello, Mikasa. How are you?" She asks me.
I sit down on the stool in front of her.
"I'm great, thank you.
Cold, but great." I smile.
"I forget that you're not used to the cold out here. They say that it is eternally winter out here, but is that even scientifically possible? It's just colder here, than it is on your side." Miranda explains.
"You're right. Anyway, me and Eren are getting married and you're invited." I say, smiling, handing her an invitation.
"Really? Oh my goodness, congratulations. When is it?"
"June fifth." I say.
"I'll be there. So, that's what you came for?" She asks.
"That and to buy things for the wedding. I am clueless to what I should get and what I need to do."
"I'll help you with that." She insists, leaving the counter.
"It's ok, you don't have to, you have work." I say.
"No, it's fine. I do have other workers here, you know."
"Thank you, Miranda."

"What type of dress are you hoping for?"
She asks, the crispy snow pressing against our shoes as we walk.
"I'm not even thinking about a dress right now. They're really expensive. I'll probably have to look for one in Wall Sina."
I say.
"Yeah, they are. Then, where should we start? She asks.
"You probably know about weddings more than me."
"Well, let's start with the venue. Where will you have it?"

Eren's POV

I've finished with the soup and it continues to boil.

As Mikasa is making wedding preparations, I should as well.
I should have made more within the walls, and the journey does seem long.
I sigh; I have no idea what to do.
You know what? I'm going to go back.

I rip a piece of paper and write down,
'Hey, Mikasa.
I'm going to Wall Sina to get some things for the wedding.
I'll probably be back tomorrow.
I'm sorry that I didn't tell you in person.
I'll make sure I tell you properly next time.
Eren.'

I put the pen down and go outside to get my horse ready.

* * *

I've been riding for a while and I've just been thinking about different things the whole time.
'Should I invite anyone else? No, I would need to ask Mikasa first.
But, what if Levi doesn't even come? Maybe I should-'
My thoughts are interrupted when the horse cries out really loudly, and then drops to the ground.
I fall off and on to my back, and shout in pain as I fall straight on my back.
I get up and see that the horse has been shot by an arrow.
Oh, crap.
I look all around urgently, to see if I can see anybody.
I look in the trees, and I see nothing.
My heart beats so quickly that I feel it in my ears, I breathe slowly to try and calm myself down.
I slowly raise my hand to my mouth, and settle my teeth slowly in to my palm.
As soon as I see this guy, he's dead.
